If your chatlog is updating after skill animations, then that's definitely a major issue. I'd only be throwing out guesses as to why it's happening, but provided it works without any hiccups the chatlog is indeed very much on-time and provides more than a fair warning for dodging attacks.
I can honestly say people having lag issues with their log to such an extent are a minority given the scope of players I've done these instances with and instructed to use the log.

the casting is on time but if the movement is out of wack then we get hit by eruptions and 100-tonze
this is the problem not failure to watch the chat log.
so from the time the target starts the weapon skill and you move to the time the server picks it up but my the time it does youre already dead.
that was my whole point is why se keeps making content like this knowing the servers cant react in time
not the best example because i was trying to hold hate

i forgot to mention the first move is a swipe
i also found out you just run forward for each swing and swipe
any dev wanna explain to me why i being hit by a frontal cone attack 50 feet behind coincounter?
The first video about server lag is quite literally atrocious...
About coincounter then:
100tonze Swipe is frontal cone attack? Dodge by moving behind?
100tonze Swing is AoE radial? Dodge by moving out of distance?
Eye of the Beholder is alos AoE radius? Dodge by getting closer to coincounter?
Anyway it's obvious where the problem lies in serer lag...
