People use these terms across all kinds of games, not just this one. If it bothers you that much, just blacklist them.

Wait so OP jukped data centers? Please tell me he ain't on Aether now, sounds like a player I rather wouldn't have to deal with for any activity.
While that's definitely true, that doesn't mean that it's okay.
Words do have meanings because we give them meaning - and that means that if those words are used one way in one context, it affects the other context.
If "autistic" becomes a meaningless insult thrown at anyone you don't like, that shifts the implications of a genuine diagnosis. It's not just "you have this condition", it becomes "you have this condition which is referred to by a term normally used to call you stupid or a horrible person".
And it changes how willing someone might be to admit that they have autism - online or otherwise - just as it's losing its stigma and becoming more of a stated fact.
As for "cancer", I think using that term for anything unenjoyable downplays what I understand to be a really horrendous experience (that I thankfully have not been through). It equates putting up with an annoying person for 20 minutes to a truly awful, life-changing illness.
I don't think it's right to use these terms when there are plenty of other 'generic' words for a bad experience that you could use instead. Call it terrible. Call it unbearable. Just don't take words that have a real, specific, unrelated meaning and twist them into becoming generic negative words.
I feel like this is a very different type of complaint to the "gameplay details" that people are arguing over.
It's something that's been on my mind as well, as I've noticed people in a few places using "cancerous" to describe something unenjoyable. Maybe it's a shift in language, but it's not one that I'm comfortable with at all.
As I've written above, it doesn't seem right (at least to me) to be appropriating the term as a general insult. There are other things you can say instead.
I think "cancerous" can an entirely appropriate term.
It's referring to something as insidiously damaging, malignant and destructive. It's a metaphor.
Something like "your DPS gave me cancer" is obviously childish and asinine, but an entirely viable use for it could be something like "RMT is cancerous for the economy"
There's a huge gap between something "not feeling right" and being regarded as "offensive".
You might not think it 'feels right', but please don't instigate a movement against it's use, as nobody deserves to be banned for something so trivial, and you know that's where this will lead.
I disagree. No one can identify as cancer, and therefore it's fine. I bet the majority of people that have gone through cancer are also perfectly fine with the comments. We all love a little hyperbole from time to time, and in the great scheme of possible insults "Cancer" is right up there with one of the safest possible options to use.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Personally, I tend to use "garbage" when referring to bad DPS. Golly, I hope I don't DISPLEASE any garbagemen, or Oscar the Grouch.
People forgetting its a T for Teen game.
Theres kids playing, kids are dumb. High schoolers are edgelords extreme and you cannot control them online as you are not their parent. If you want to be safe, turn off the chat, play on JP, or go to an M for Mature online game where the -hopefully- 18+ community will be more sensitive.
