Give the possible Eureka 5.X its own weapon, and separate Relic from it

Personally I enjoyed and am continuing to enjoy Eureka. I'm really happy with the content and should have my 4th weapon in a day or two. I'm not alone I'm sure but be that as it may people wanted more than running boring old content ad nauseum and they designed this content around relic and I'm thankful they did. The didn't add the relic to Diadem they added it to Eureka and relic wasn't added as a stick it was incorporated as a part of the design for obtaining it that was new.

Relative to whether or not it'll be playable in 5.0 I suspect it will be. They'll nerf it so it can be solo'd or played with very few people in zone in my view just like they nerfed the old relics into oblivion making them super easy to get.

Haters love to slap the Diadem label on the content but it's not Diadem.

No, Diadem had those pink weapons. And when that wasn't enough they learned and put the relic in Eureka.
And if they designed this around the relic, I ask again - why can I go through the entire place without upgrading my weapon the once? Why can I clear, at the very least, Pagos to Hydatos without even touching my weapon?
Maybe because Eureka wasn't made for the relic hm.

People who spammed A1S until they threw up mini puddles is their own choice and fault. I got a lot of light just farming roulettes, including Mentor, and switching to the weapon whenever applicable. The older light farms you could basically do by playing the game. Eureka is mutually exclusive from anything else by virtue of being instanced.

I'll just be sad if eureka does completely die with 5.0. If it is dead as diadem will it become impossible to make the relic weapon? :v That's the risk of structuring content like this. I don't know if they could even adjust it to the point where people could solo it.

It was made for relic. You can continue to push your line of what is the case. Have at it. It sure wasn't any different for the 3.0 relics farming tomestones until blue in the face. Didnt' need any upgraded weapons for any of it but you sure got to run the same old content you've run before over and over.

What if relic weapon was created and upgraded like ARR/HW but could be augmented to give bonus stats to specific content e.g.

Make a weapon have basic stats primary/secondary
If you do PotD/HoH like content you can augment the weapon to have bonus + 200 main stat while doing that content
If you did Eureka like content you can augment to give it Eureka like buffs and only activates for that content
Could do same thing with Fate system, Leves small secluded stuff essentially

Now you would need to put an extra reward in to incentivise players to do everything with the weapon like a title/mount

EDIT: basically a weapon that could through effort be the best weapon for everything within an expansion

What exactly was it made for then?

You spend the overwhelming majority of your time in all the zones grinding stuff to make relics, what was going to be the point of all that?

You might as well ask what Diadem was made for, too. Because you do roughly what you do in Eureka there, but you don't have a relic to grind for. Got gathering, tho, which is nice.

Because you might have another weapon and simply come here for the story. The same reason why you can do Dungeons, Raids and Primals and not loot anything if you want.

The older light farm was done by doing the exact same thing as tome farming for your relic, which was done by doing the exact same thing as tome farming for just about every other piece of gear…or the relic before that.

No i think that would be a bad idea because you would see a lot more exclusion for not having the weapon which would be unfair on late comers/returners/new players the other content i mentioned are ones you had to do the content to get the bonuses thus it is not required for that content it would help for going after multiple weapons but nothing that can effect the raid scene/pf/df anymore than it does already

They do have several things they can do that will make it soloable, just be removing level and ilvl syncing there (we’re synced to 300 while our gears now are 400). Now if the new content in 5.0 builds on the same elemental level as Eureka, then even Hydatos could be solo’ed (not BA though lol).

But on topic, I’m all for having different weapons for both styles (I don’t think SE would bother doing the same for both). The old ARR/HW style didn’t really require much resources except in designing the weapons and the story. And in this case, no one will say they lost a content due to the other etc. I just hope we don’t hear an outcry when one weapon has better stats than the other.
