Yeah, that'd work too. While I like the spell itself, I've always disliked the way it functions in those scenarios.

I wish that living dead would be reworked into something like
"On press, sets your hp to 1, and in the next 7 seconds, all the damage will heal you instead"
Regarding AD's area of effect: Are there any other skills in the game that act that way (x-yalms from hitbox of target instead of x-yalms from target center)? And what about giant mobs like Cloud of Darkness and Sephirot, etc. Hitting them with AD means the area of effect of AD includes that entire edge of the board (if area of effect were x-yalms extending from hitbox edge)..?
SMN's Bane and Ahk Morn, I wonder are they like AD? Or do they do the x-yalm from hitbox edge?
The case for AD QoL adjustment is stronger if there's another skill that does something similiar.
I am with you on this. AD is only good for extra DPS on Trash pulls. Unleashed is great for holding boss agro. Less mana cost, and you can max out your dps with more soul eaters. Honestly I am not a big fan of dungeons just stuffed with trash packs. I have to ask. Does anyone love mass amount of trash in dungeons. Personally I would like more 4 man, 8 man trails over dungeons. Go in kill boss get loot and leave.
There is actually a use for Unleash. It doesn't require a target. Abyssal Drain does. It seems like a small thing, but it makes a big difference.
Yep totally agree, and even if you increase the range of AD there is still the dilemma that DRK will not have a spameable aoe around you character.
unleash, AD, TBN and Quietus creates a fun aoe sinergy and it's currently the most rewarding feeling of DRK when executed properly, I agree unleash will need a bit more but not get replaced for a skill that works complete diferent, I believe current DRK aoe skill set should stay intact and in any case make Quietus replace unleash at 50 blood to save space since both skills works similarly around you char.
Every ranged aoe works like ad. Just dont target the dragon in a pull. Its really not that big a deal. If theres a hoarder of mobs target a small guy. Literally every ranged aoe attack in the game does this. Blm, smn, sch, brd, etc all manage just fine I'm sure you can too.
I honestly don't understand people's dislike for tank stance or the fact the stances are a straight damage cut. I mean why the hell do you want to replace a straight damage cut for a miniscule parry boost? On top of that the tank stance boosts the tank's HP allowing them to take hits better then everyone else.
