Talent tree is just something I see not viable here. On top of that, its brother called "stat points" have also been removed from the game (who remember them? xD) and this is a huge hint about the devs not wanting follow that direction.

New ideas are welcomed and I'd make the debate we DO get them. Most of those ideas just didn't stick. And that happens. I also think it's mostly the playerbase. Cause let's be real, everything will get boring after a while and this is something all mmos face. There isnt a single video game where this isnt an issue.

It's on a downward slide to a simplicity singularity. Complexities in game systems and mechanics are routinely removed instead of improved. Maybe it's cultural, but an obsession with efficiency, order, and simplicity is driving this game towards complete mindlessness.

It's interesting when you see this type of comment from people who think they're defending the game. In reality it's the last thing any developer wants you to do. They don't want their playerbase to silently slip away, they want the feedback, even the bad feedback, so they can put it all together and analyse it and see if anything can be improved.

That is some horrible advice to give to people overall enjoy the game and want to give feedback. Criticism is criticism, good or bad.

Huh. It has been getting a little bland.. I just never said anything since I don’t do Savage so I thought complaining about there not being a lot of content would seem weird.

I think the re-using of assets more then once (like how many times we see the same gear)
Not taking risks/playing it too safe
Bad coding and servers
And the RNG system that is used is one of the worst ever
Introducing gear that is outdated in a month or less (looking at you Relic)

** I do have a list of positives with all of this said however, lol

There's always a reason to do constructive criticism on everything. It's how people improve. It's not always negative when it's backed by positive reinforcements either. When you're working at a job and you do something wrong or half-assed, why shouldn't there be a reason that your boss doesn't fire constructive criticism at you? Should he pat you on the back for doing a half-decent job? No, of course not.

Why should a video game development company be excluded from constructive criticism when it exists in every facet of our lives. Living inside of an echo chamber bubble is a dangerous way to prepare yourself from the real world.

As for my criticism towards the game, I'm going to basically echo what Momi had said about the content that it literally feels we are getting the same repetitive dribble over and over again without an ounce of creativity and ingenuity. I feel as if they're not even trying to improve the graphics and game engine over time and they're just sticking with their guns. I could understand keeping the same game engine for a 2-3 years, but XIV has been going for five years so far. You can't possibly tell me that the idea of upgrading the engine and coding hasn't crossed their minds so far when we're going to have things like PS5 and computers with better processors and graphics engines to meet the demand for more high-end games.

Also, another thing that has me a little miffed lately is their constant bias towards the Japanese playerbase for contests. You shouldn't enforce rules onto the other two regions only for you to allow two Japanese users to have two entries when the rules state that only one is allowed, not to mention has far more JP finalists than the other two regions. Don't make it so obvious that NA and EU is just an additional income for you guys. :/

Everything is a copy of a copy, I'm doubting the developers can create meaningful content that is original. The game is stale, they don't even need live letters to showcase anything. People can predict what is going to happen in 4.4 and 4.5.

Ok but if they do this:
A) the netcode needs revamped
B) animation clipping needs to prioritize over animation lock for transitioning quicker from gcd to ogcd
C) reliance on ogcd based combat needs to be pulled back.

WoW can handle 1.5s gcd because its heavily gcd reliant with very few ogcds from my limited experience, and your next actions animation will overwrite the last actions animation if they coincide at any point, including ogcd.
