To blacklist or not to blacklist

If your LS leader is badgering you about your blist you should probably blist him too and find a shell worth having.

In XI my blist was capped at 200, and I wished it was bigger. I was having to remove old idiots just to add new ones.

I just think it is fair. I do not discriminate! I blacklist annoying idiots, stupid people that give excuses for everything, and nasty people who have done me wrong. I'm not one to hold grudges, but I want to play this game and not worry about getting that one loser who died at Ifrit twenty times and came up with a new excuse each time.
Is that too far? Does anyone else get blacklist happy? Figured I'd ask to quench my curiosity.

You've not gone too far. The blacklist is for these kind of things.

the only people I've ever blacklisted were in XI, primarily self-proclaimed elitists and "church militants" who dared to tell me how I should play my job, usually jobs they themselves had no experience playing. Not even members of my endgame linkshell in that game were safe.

Despite that I didn't have more than four people on my blist in nearly 5 years on two servers.

I thought about doing that... but then again, I guess we can't really blame those Lalafell who hang on to stories about how they were Miqo'te snacks in the distant past. ^^

Over blacklisting is for uptight players who lack a sense of humor.

I've never found the need to blacklist anyone before (I usually only see the use for it in cases of harassment), but I am pleased to say that Gath is annoying enough to be on my forum "blacklist".
