Thats what games need, and what SE was going for with hellfire and moogle momento, but the SH mobs benefit from having things like that.

How do you think Dynamis statues felt in FFXI when 3-4 BLMs come and oneshot them do they cry "if they were DRGs we would have raped them :("

Eorzea doesn't have much sense of danger or any reason to explore right now, I remember in FFXI seeing sneak and invis wearing desperatly trying to find a safe spot to recast asap before loads of mobs raped you.

The only mobs a player cant handle are really the ones where no one goes, (except treeants) whereas in FFXI you could have to find a coffer the mobs around would oneshot you if you were detected and the coffers would make sneak and invis wear when you open them.

Running through areas like this (Xarcabard for Genkai quests anyone?) really gives you a sense of accomplishment, when the game came out I ran from Uldah to corthas on my lvl 20 LNC and wow it was one of the best feelings when I got my first camp there, after running past mobs that can easily oneshot me (and they did a few times). If you dont want oneshots then this game is where you should be, not FFXIV.

I understand what the OP is saying but it is a bit easy mode in game sometimes.

First time in XI I made it from Windy to Jeuno...AWESOMESAUCE! Here I ran from Grid to Uldah no problems as a back then Rank 10 player. That's probably another REASON people congregate in Uldah so much is because they can and it's EASY to get to. LL take the boat. Grid...it's a long run but u can do it. But I won't complain really, *shurgs* I'm 50 so who cares and I can fly there now or ride a chocobo or Goobbue for that matter.

I'm not opposed to mobs having unique spells/abilities, but taking a 2800 shadowsear (read that one-shot) is a bit much. Perhaps a reasonable tone-down for some of these is worth consideration.

Well I guess I look at it as someone saying Ifrit Hard is TOO hard...9k ... umm that's a wipe lmao! But not if you do the right moves in order to counter act it. /sarcasm coming That's why they call it strategy. ;) /endsarcasm

If you read my post beforehand you would know.
It's also an instant buff, rather than a 3 second cast for sleep.
