Levelling in it's own is pretty fast.
I just spam PoTD and I get 1 lvl every 2 runs up to lvl 60 and from that point you just do your daily roulette and you'll be 70 in no time.
Make sure to spam PoTD floor 51-60 (reset after each run).

I know, ARR quests are a chore to the point it's hard to even enjoy the story anymore. If it helps encourage you, Heavensward and Stormblood are less taxing to get through.
Given the OP is on Cerberus - I don't really see how they got the road to 60 buff - it was never given to Cerberus.
Having only recently gotten an alt to Stormblood entry quests - I can say for sure that hitting 51-54 for heavensward is possible just buy doing the main story and possibly a leveling roulette here and there. If you do all the optional stuff though then I could imagine hitting 60...
If you don't like doing story line or quest hate to break it to you your going to hate later on. SE has made it very easy to catch up to your friends using potions, only draw back is that you will be missing a great story. If your sticking with one job however the sq and MSQ is an easy way to reach 70. Hate to break it to you if you get frustrated now you might as well play something else. If your thinking of doing relics well good luck finding another game. FC help sure, if you find a decent one, however everything requires hard work and dedication.
The patch 2.1 to 2.5 MSQs definitely get tedious, even when I did them the first time on each patch day it always felt like there was maybe 10 minutes of story covered up in 90 minutes of padding. As someone has probably already mentioned, sadly the SE "solution" was just to charge money for letting people skip past it instead of going back and actually fixing the awful pacing for the all important new players they're always chasing.
