Why a beast tribe allowance?

Just remove the daily allowance seriously it has no real porpuse outside of annoying the hell out of people.....
2022 and its still there it has no reason to be there the beast tribe quests allready have limit on them because they are daily quests to begin with.

It could be one of those cases where they've left the limit in place to save players from themselves.

Back in Mists of Pandaria, Blizzard removed the limit on the number of dailies you could do in a day and the backlash was immense from players that suddenly felt like they had to do every single available daily every day. That added up to quite a bit considering there were the dailies from the three expansions prior to MoP on top of the dailies added in MoP.

I don't know if SE would ever remove the cap but increasing it at the very least would seem reasonable. The limit of twelve is fairly awkward when ARR tribes end up with 9-18 dailies each at the higher ranks. Their currencies don't have the same economic impact now that they had back when first introduced and the smaller number of dailies available from later tribes already keeps their impact in check.

It's easiest to just give us 18 allowances probably.

I can think of other ways to make things better like reorganizing ARR BT dailies to be the same as other expansions, but it's just a lot of work really when in comparison I'm sure they can just change whatever code there is from 12 to 18 very easily.

If I wanted to suggest some hefty changes though it would be changing ARR BT dailies to be the same as other expansions, along with doubling the gains for ARR, HW and SB, rather than increasing the amount of dailies. This would still have the intended effect of helping newer players play catch up without increasing the daily workload. This would also be balanced around the fact that once newer players reach ShB(and eventually EW when BTs are released there), they'll have to decide what dailies to take. As they're leveling alt jobs they'll likely want to take dailies that benefit that the most, but they likely still won't have finished maxing out their reputation with the HW/SB BTs.

Yes please remove it! Ive recently started doing them. And Im stuck only being able to do my exp ones in EW and all of the ShB ones. But cant do or start a single one from ARR, HW and SB. And the ShB I have to juggle because sometimes I level up one and get more quests that I cant do unless I dont do another beasttribe that day.

Only ARR beast tribes get seriously limited by the allowance, anything past it has hard cap of 3 per day per tribe anyway.

There's no reason to use dev time for this though, when there are so many more important things that need work.

I see no problem in the neccessaty that players need to decide which Beast Tribe they want to work on each day. There is no need to complete every 15 Beast Tribes at the same time.

But it seems like a problem from players in general. If there's something where a decision has to be made they rather want everything instead of having to decide.

The reason is to keep you playing a longer period of time simple as that.

It's optional content so there is no need to catch-up. That stuff is there to keep us busy. A player just need to pick the ones they find the most interesting (lore or reward wise) and stick with those. Once that's done move to the next ones. FFXIV it's a MMO, IMO it's ok for some side content to take a "long" (not really) period of time.

Because if there was no limit to how many times you could complete Beast Tribe quests, you could farm up the Rep and get the mounts and other special items all in a day.

I know i'd rather spam beast tribe quests from 60-70 than deal with people in dungeons. Regardless, what the OP meant was to allow you to do daily quests for all beast tribes in a single day, not that you can max reputation of beast tribe(s) in a single day by spamming the no-longer-daily quests.

The only real reason is that they want you to resub. Same is true for weekly currencies.
You want to see this cool content? Well, it's timegated. Oh would you look at that, your subscribtion is about to end! Oh no, but you haven't gotten your cool new beast tribe mount yet. How terribly inconvinient.
And this is exactly why i take it with a grain of salt when a SE representitive states that it's okay to unsub from FF when you've got nothing to do. If that's really how SE thought then they wouldn't timegate content on a stick in front of your nose while you're running on a hamster wheel. It's a business model for pretty much every relevant MMO out there.
