Honestly, they can increase server capacity, we're in the age of technology you can do that. Problem is, they need to keep it locked once they do that if not enough people transfer, you can keep increasing but people will just keep coming because it's the most populated and there's always plenty of people around ( It being the primary unofficial RP server doesn't help at all )
It's really a 50/50 fault, SE can definitely upgrade their tech, listening to their interviews you can tell they're behind, and they needed to lock it down much sooner, but people also need to understand fixes like this aren't instantaneous and crying their eyes out the first couple days won't help anything. Lock the server to anyone new, you'll force people to choose another server and for the roleplayers force them to make a secondary RP server, WoW has plenty of thriving ones, FF14 can too

I mean honestly, I can get why people don't want to, but then again they opened servers, which is free and also tons of people can bring their friends because of this, including no limits on gil (doubt a standar player has over 1 billiong il lol) and lots of other things. Talk a few of your friends into taking advantage of that free transfer feature. You gain nothing by playing on a ridiculously populated server. -

i think the worse issue is the server lag, like i am experiencing horrible lag in the evening. Even if i got the early access, i barely played like 4 hrs in 3 days i guess. So yeah its a nightmare for casual player. D：

As such, your queues are affected by people on your datacentre. As Mateus and Balmung are on the same datacentre (apparently), they won't be affected by moving from Mateus to Balmung. It's same way cross-realm party finder works, allows people from your entire datacentre in.Quote:
