What Would You Sacrifice for a Glamour Catalogue?

Removing actual server-side content like POTD or Stone Sky Sea won't affect the viability of a glamour log in the slightest. All it will do is make fewer people play the game...

But... don't you run out of space to store glamour items? That's what the proposed glamour log is designed to address. At some point, it's going to happen to everyone who collects glamours, whether or not they invest in extra retainers. It's in S-E's best interests to figure out a way to keep people buying and collecting novelty dress-up items forever.

umm several things:

Hunting Log, as its use level has plumeted since DRK/NIN/MCH/AST wern't added to it & it stops at 50
Vermilion, not sure how many ppl actually use this anymore
The Craft/Gather Scrips system maybe (not sure got mix opinion on it myself so will leave that to Dev's)
Guildhest's, are these needed with PotD esisting at the moment?
A dungeon a Patch as long as "EX roullete" just becomes every lv70 dungeon & only becomes "lv70 Dungeon Roullete" when lv80 ones are added in 5.0

edit: don't really "want" to give up anything but if we had to I'd just have to live with whater it was... or just stop playing... also I make do with the Glamour system we have & I still have the norm 2 retainer's (ones my seller/random itme storage & other is glam storage)

Not really, my 1st retainer is only full by 95 slot, my 2nd retainer is for crafting. I just don't see how ppl can fill retainers with glamour only...cause all event gear can be deleted and bought at the calimity npc.

Ah. In my case I have quite a lot of jobs and it all adds up once you have a lot of 'irreplaceable' things that are inexplicably blocked from both the Armoire and Salvager systems due to their shortcomings. I do hoard things I don't need, like the maid outfit, because I know I can't get it again even though my character is male and cannot wear it, but that's precisely why I want them to implement some kind of system for offloading that kind of junk.

It took me 50+ sustained runs of a single dungeon for one glamour item I wanted once, so I tend to keep a lot of the more attractive unique dropped items too to avoid that kind of trauma if I need them again in future.

Hunting Log can go, rarely used after 2.0 1-50, and even then, we won't see any use past maybe the GC option since it obviously wasn't expanded due to The Hunt being its own thing, and also providing a way to gain EXP on any job/class regardless of level/pace.

Should've clarified. Fishing Guide =/= Fishing Log. The Fishing Log records the various places you can fish in a zone and what fish you can catch there. The Fishing Guide just lists every fish in the game with a little blurb about them. Which is really neat and I like that from a RP perspective and all, but personally I can't say I find it more functional than a Glamour Catalogue would be.

this^ i would love to some in-game bestiary. something not unlike in some other games. like you just have to defeat that particular enemy enough times to collect and store the relevant information. something like what was in FFXIII.


but if i had to choose... the hunting log, simply because they don't seem to be doing anything with this. i was rather disappointed to see nothing new with the release of Heavensward.


a galmour log not unlike the collection log we see in Eden Eternal could be very useful, and very welcomed.

Nothing, SE should not remove stuff, just so they can add other stuff. If this is a hardware/code etc issue, then they need to work on it.

Don't waste important ressources on Blitzball and give us a glamour log instead.
