Mmm, I don't understand?

Hey OP would you rather go back to the ffxi days where NMs were claimed to a party so people would actively compete to be the ones to get it and if you were too slow you had 0 chance to get anything?
If you find a hunt you have every right to engage and kill it, this is not bad behaviour. Sure it's nice to wait for people but your are in no way obligated to do so and if people arrive after it's been pulled they should just be grateful they can still get anything at all, unlike if it was a claim system.
I remember those days...leeping lizzy and boggy... endless nights just hoping to beat the bots and other players....good times..
Mysticmaker Proofblix to pimp the BLM !
or Yinyang Robe for the SMN !
Leaping Lizzy + Valkurm Emperor yay!
or the first Scorpion Harness / Haubergeon to pimp out your DPS ! (not the girl system we have now)
or XP Party in the Dunes :D
Black Belt quest
indeed a lot good old memories :D
Whatever their reason is, they're under no obligation to wait if they have the force to beat up the monster. No different then any other open world content in any MMO. Even Yoshida in an earlier live letter said players were doing hunts not as he intended for them to be done (waiting for half the server to show up to one) and no there is no such thing as early pulling I'm sorry, even if you wait 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, or even 30 minutes there's always going to be that one player that flips out about early pulling. I've missed plenty of hunts, I just say to myself "oh well, better luck next time" and leave it at that before going out on my merry little way.
Who's more selfish in this situation? The 100 plus whatever people standing around kicking dirt just wanting to beat up the monster and go about what they were doing. Or you for expecting 100 plus whatever people to keep standing around kicking dirt around waiting for you to come from wherever you were? It's why there's no such thing as early pulling cos early pulling basically just means "you hundreds of people didn't wait long enough for me to arrive"
