That's what I'm trying to explain to all those people who claim that content "can be meaningfull without a powerful weapon at the end"...
I don't care that this weapon is 280. I figure the last bit of content is coming out shortly anyway (which doesn't necessarily require you to be fully decked out in top notch gear) and then it's the big wait for Stormblood. I don't care at this point if I upgrade my WHM from my finished relic to that. I don't think it will make that much of a difference. It will be useless a few hours into 4.0 if coming from 2.0 to 3.0 was any indication.
I have a relic, the 280 weapon doesn't bother me one bit. I could care less how other people get their gear. Besides, there is so much rng in getting a 280 weapon
1. The emergency mission in diadem has to pop
2. If the mission pops, once it completed, there is 1 of 13 weapons that could drop
3. Then you are up against 71 other people for a chance to get that weapon.
Maybe you should't have started that way...
Nor followed by this...
in your own thread...
And 0 reward from DS for 0 possibility to have a reward is not "rare". It's like saying "Before 3.55a, i275 Anima were much rarer than Alexandrian weapon".
Don't worry, we'll do the maths again when the option becomes available and suddently the probability skyrockets to 100% every week with the absence of RNG, skill and even time.
its not unfair as getting a) the weapon, b) the weapon you want and c) that weapon to roll good stats are insanely low chances
The i280 weapons are deceiving. Stat wise they're more like i290 weapons. They don't have proper scaling of a real i280.
That's the real kick to the teeth. They aren't 5 item levels stronger than anima/raid, they're 15.
