I am speaking to the obtaining of the best gear in the game, not the storyline.

I'm sorry, but we have a lot more severe problems then where we get our Armour. This game was ready for the Job System in 1.19. From what has been released about 1.20 Yoshida has take a running leap way over the line. This game was starting to get combat game play on track and he just gutted it, again. Worse yet, he made it so that every class is so pigeon holed that there is no means of diversity and every party will be wholly dependent of singular classes. He is turning this game in FFXI speed combat in a WoW world with no tactical skills. Sadly, however, WoW had more versatile classes.
God it kills me that WoW the game I hate more than any other MMO is actually going to be better than this crap.
The Twelve forbid they try something new. Que horrible!
In all seriousness if you think getting a craft to level it needs to be to in order to craft the best gear is easier than a raid, then I'm not really sure I can take you seriously.
Finally, I don't get why complain about them removing DoH from the story line and then complain when the economic influence is being placed on the DoH. It seems like you just want to complain hmmm
Levequests completely circumvent that mechanic.
I can get the leve in town, walk to the NPC (in town) do the leve, repeat.
Its excruciatingly simple.
Mindless is a better word.
Yet it nets greater reward than the substantially harder time DoW/M has getting to 50(multiple times), then killing Ifrit?
Someone explain the logic please.
The "like it or gtfo" mentality will get you nowhere. So, thanks for that.Quote:
What? I'm not talking about the mechanics of leveling DoH.
Enjoy the game and roll with the changes or don't. If you don't like it, no one's forcing you to endure it.
Rather than make coherent arguments to support your opinion, you resort to this?
Childish really.
@DocMog
I can't sight it, but I recall Yoshi-P saying something about materials droping off bosses in raids which would be used by crafters to make rare gear. (incentive to raid)
The omission of enfeebling spells obviously will be reworked into a new mage job. Yoshi already said the lack of caster types will be addressed by one of the first new jobs being a mage. How do you make that mage unique? Make them the enfeebler.
Self-combos might not be a great for party play, but it opens the door to implement group combos down the road. Yoshi already expressed interest in doing that.
I agree the lack of a water based attack spell is weird for a FF game. That it breaks the elemental wheel. Maybe you're being to rooted in what you think XIV should be. I can guarantee you it's not an oversight by the devs. Just because they haven't spelled it out for us doesn't mean they don't have a plan.
Speaking of plans. Is it better keep giving us info on future plans (like the FFXIV ver. 2.0) so we can play that /wait game? Or is it better to give us info on things to be implemented in the near future like "next update"? So maybe "skill chains" are 3-6 months out. Should they let us know now, so we can bitch and complain for the next 6 months? What if that system needs more time to develop? What if the system just dones't work out? I'd rather know about stuff to be issued in the next update, thats 100% going to make it in.
