OP is probably referring to Fine Alumen, now needed for Cashmere Hood and Poncho (and the ugly bear rug).

Other exclusives are:

• oriental grass
• magnanimous mogcrown (mog chandelier)
• Zu mount
• shrub seedling (moogle/chocobo/cactuar looking shrub)
• tincaltonite (ugly pudding furniture)
• dinosaur fossil (the big T-Rex)
• far eastern coin (stuffed carbuncle)
• potter's stone (faerie chandelier)
• 2 faded orchestrion rolls
• toy box schema
• dravanian mote (glowy pink dravanian tree)
• dusk leather

Out of this long list, due to very high supply the majority of those items are either very cheap or reasonably priced.

OP is from Gilgamesh, so the price of fine alumen is 240k, which is not even the main roadblock for the cashmere set, it's Wool Top priced at over 6m gil. Every other item in the list from gilgamesh is either priced between 10k gil and 200k, most of them on the lower side of this.

To be fair, FCs are unlimited. Housing is not. FC housing is even more limited.

I'd personally like Airship materials to be a bit more accessible, such as being able to have a single personal airship in a personal house, but there's also the weird company workshop being tied to FCs thing to get over. There really isn't an issue, in my opinion, to let something be more available. It's very much a rich get richer situation.

Not saying have SE make weather events that rain down loot onto the ground for the poor and unfortunate or anything. Just... have some means of increasing supply somewhere. I don't think something like what I mentioned above would "break the market".

To counter your argument though, it's not hard to join an FC that has a house.

They already gave apartment players access to flowerpots and the housing merchants... I dont see the harm in giving airships.... something. I can see it now... apartment tenant-accessed Diadems. assuming they fix the place

To counter your counter though...
1: Simply joining an FC with a house does not give you access to their airships or airship gathered items. These are privileges locked behind rank permissions
2: Simply joining an FC with a house does not increase the supply of these items- no new airships are in circulation. The only way this would be the case is if there were FCs not using airships at all. even then, see point 1
3: Everyone joining FCs for these reasons will only cut supply even more- if 8 people join the same FC for airships, not all of them will have access anyway. Flocking to established rank 8 FCs actually hurts the problem.

Crafters destroy the prices of these mats in the market.

Crafters complain that nobody wants to supply these mats anymore.

TC, you are in a FC. Does your FC have a house, with a workshop, and some airships?

If not, then that's where your problem lies : your FC. Not with the availability or lack thereof on the marketboard for materials. I can understand the lack of a FC house, somewhat - but that's a matter of timing and having ready Gil, to buy a just-evicted plot. After that, its all on your relationship with your FC, which must be a good one given your lack of desire to leave it. Not wanting to leave it says volumes about how good it is, but then, if its so good, why doesn't anyone there help you out with team crafting stuff?

Cheers! just checked our MB and it seems only Fine Alumen is worth of anything(700-900k)while rest were mostly below 100k a.k.a not worth it. Luckily FA comes from early sectors so its easy to farm so thanks for the tip OP and Ali :>

How does buying mats destroy their market?

To say that everyone doesn't have equal access to these mats is accurate, but to say that everyone should is ludicrous; does a level 1 miner get to mine level 60 nodes locked behind some book? Everything takes a level of effort and in this case it is house hunting, getting people in your workshop, spending money to build airship sets, maintaining FC seals for fuel and mining dark matter for repair. If it isn't for you then that is alright, fishing isn't for everyone either does that mean we should change it to fit everyone? I don't think so, there are plenty of things I'm super "meh no way I'm doing that" and pay for it instead and that's ok because someone else is going to find that thing I hate cool and I'm grateful that they do. That is an economy working as intended, but if you really want to produce these mats yourself don't complain that you want fresh lobster when you won't go in the water.
