Do you think we need new dyes?

I'm all up for more options when it comes to customization!

For True Color (or 24-bit color depth), it's three bytes for an RGB value, not six. So it's an extra 10 bytes per character (from 5 to 15 for five dyable gear items). Still an increase, but not by as much as suggested.

None of you even know how the data is stored right now tho, so saying how much of an increase it is is extremely misleading, as it may very well reference a local table with those values, meaning the server-side storage would be much less than you might assume

It cracks me up how "data storage" is so much of an issue in this game and yet not in others. >_<!

Honestly, we shouldn't temper our requests pre-emptively. SE needs to figure their stuff out, and we should feel free to ask them for better systems! Like multiple dye channels on a piece of gear, and a better selection of colors. :)

I need the default color the Thav bustier is in as a dye. I need it T_T

Camo dye would be nice. Or adding a pattern design to the system so glamour can be more unique instead of just colors. Food for thought.

No, I think we need a better dyeing system.

Like dyeing certain segments of gear differently.

edit: Holy hell, corrected some baaaad typos.

Before we need dyes the developers need to make it so we can dye every part of a armour.

Oh yes, it has irked me to no end on some items I can't dye that none of my dyeable pieces match... every dye availble is just a little bit off...

Only best reds atm are Rolanberry red and Dalamud red.

Well, I've used wine red before. It's not too bad.

I personally would love to see a Turqouise metallic dye :)
