How is there STILL not a confirmation before throwing newbs into Novice Network?

It should have been, from the getgo. But no, I believe in some Live Letter or something, he said no confirmation was intentional, because they didn't want some new player to "miss out" by not understanding what they were being invited to. Which, to me, is utter nonsense.
