Well, I can name tons that don't have gil spammers, seeing as gil is only on 2 mmorpg's, so Everquest, World of Warcraft, pick a MMO that doesn't have the name Final Fantasy and they don't have gil spammers.
But seriously tho, Everquest has no plat spammers. There is your serious 1
Only way it's going to stop rmt on NA servers is if the US bans companies from selling video game money like they have in other countries on JP servers we have no rmt spam I've been in a JP server for almost 2 years I've never gotten a rmt message we have bots that's about it
LOTRO had a lot the first few weeks after its release. Then they added in the right-click report feature and text filtering and so on, and all the spam vanished. It's not that other games don't have people *trying* to spam them. It's that other games don't allow it. SE seems to be the only company that just lets the spam run rampant, without putting in any features to block it.
I feel as though the mentor program is the start of removing Gil spammers,
Step 1: create a system where new players can still get the help they need and that is by invite only.
Step 2: block anyone under X amount of hours played and/or under X level from using any form of communication other than the mentor chat.
Since it's by invite only it will stop the spammers from being able to spam tells or say or shouts
Getting 100% rid of currency sellers in any MMO is next to impossible, havent seen a game where theres literally zero sellers and i pretty much have played all of them.
