If fire 1 didnt scale as it did BLM would either need a complete rework or it would be OP as hell with fire at 5mp. You may not even need to cast blizzard at all during most fights lol.

You misunderstand and anyone would who never played ff xi pre sync, the world was VERY dangerous, you could de level ok. Getting to a place to xp was a RISK a small journey, the only good thing that has come is the insta warps for certain end game things like hunts, fates and hunts are not difficult not even a challenge. There is zero sense of danger or a world that is to be feared or looked at with wonder now, at best we can marvel at some of the visual sights but that's it.
Try cop pre nerf, it was mainly standing still it beats coils in difficulty, most people could not even clear it till they nerfed promies.
There is no real serious learning curve either XI got it right by forcing EVERYONE to be competent at lvl 14+ and by 20 90% of everyone knew their jobs to a good level or excellent level, outside of some memorizing mechanics on the odd boss fight and a few jobs having a slightly harder but still easier time to clear things, the challenge level is virtually non existence in this game, its why you have tons of 50s and 60s who play like lvl 15.
It's not about being the best or any of that, or rose tinted glasses XI forced the players to NOT be stupid, wow and its clones teaches people to be impatient lazy and stupid. People might not like that but anyone pre sync with experience with xi then and now will fully understand they need a balance but also to force players to progress and be intelligent or wipe and learn from that.
Thats literally why this game and most other mmo's have poor players zero learning curve and it's very much a rush rush yall got da cod bro mentality community.
If I have a cast time to fire off an ability and then an enemy dies, I'll keep casting and then stop once it's had the full duration. It should stop the casting as soon as the enemy is dead.
1. Cooldowns not resetting upon wipe in raids, why is this still a thing? we want to raid not wait around half the time.
2. Throwing lore out the window to have more non sensical flying mounts, That joke was cute with fat choco but now they're beating it to death with flying turtles.
3. The rehashing of old content, Anima being the most recent example of this.
4. Hunts nuff said.
5. Making more content for GS even though it's pretty much evident by now no one gives a crap about it.
6. Minions unable to be used in dungeons, why is this? they aren't affected by combat so why not.
7. Not willing to take risks always playing it safe.
There are plently more but i'd be here all day.
1. The "currently occupied" and related issues with the interface.
2. Not being able to whisper beyond the "boundaries" of a dungeon.
3. The tab targeting system is a tad annoying. Yes you can work around it but should you have to?
4. The gearing of the new jobs pre 50. Yes I know that once you hit 50 you could have saved some gear/currency from leveling another job but until then its not fun having your average rating being 7 levels behind a dungeon you may get in the Duty Roulette while leveling. Not a big deal for dps maybe but for DRK? Yeah it hurts lol.
5. The GCD is a trifle long.
6. The weekly caps.
7. The progression of instanced difficulty seems to steep, someone not used to MMORPG mechanics tends to go from feeling like a hero to feeling like a scrub in one progression step. Now I get that so cut such players slack but that seems to not be a common attitude.
1: RMT, i don't know if anything has ever botherd me as much as these complete wastes of life, and the equally terrible players that support them by buying gill. Nothing like being bothered everyday, begging you to buy something that you will never want because everyone else around you is. as well as making everything cost far more then it should because gill buyers have no sense of value.
2: People excluding certain jobs in instance or fight because they don't understand how it works. or fail at it them selves. (PLD could be argued but i don't play tanks.)
3: Duty Finder in NA Community "Hi, i know nothing of this fight and didn't do any research whatsoever, Please carry me"
Well as of Heavensward I have no business casting Blizzard 1 at all. I'm just old and stuck to the tradition of use up your MP and refill with a Megalixir. Since you know items didn't have idiotic 4+ minute cooldown periods. Most items seem to be why bother using them anyway.
But the main point I'm getting across is it's just a thing that bothers me.
Other things bother me as well such as only one main stat being the one that matters, elemental resistances not mattering at all.
That said I find Fire 1 costing more MP to cast then Fire 2/3/4 at any interval quite simply hilarious.
The above combined with a general horribly sluggish UI bother me the most by a margin of several lightyears.
When I hit synthesis... why is there a 1 second delay before I can do sth?
Why does this game force stuns my character while some crap animation of a quest mob / whatever occurs? Why is there no summary to accept quest why always the BLAH BLAH BLAH (can't move) yadda yadda (you finished yet NPC? It's a friggin daily I know the drill) *hand over animation* ....
In general: STOP INTERRUPTING MY GAMEPLAY! Make stuff seamless, make stuff smooth! If in doubt LOOK AT WoW! WoW may have many many flaws. But it is still KING when it comes to responsiveness and UI.
