Why do so many people FAIL at dps.

That's not accurate either.

Sometimes people take bathroom breaks, or maybe the other DPS isn't doing as well either. Or the healer is or is not DPSing. Or the tank is a WAR Fell Cleaving vs a PLD just spamming enmity combo

He's saying you're not nearly as good as you think you are. Actually, you're pretty bad if 686 is you maxing out all the time on all of your classes.

Bathroom breaks? They usually happen when you sit 45 minutes the queue, and then return back only to see you have been removed from the DF because you didn't accepted the invite. D:

I'm laughing so hard right now cause I've never cleared it with my monk(besides being dead pretty much the whole fight and being carried)

I think she was refuting your claim that you can max any dps by pointing out how you recorded numbers were mediocre at best, for that instance at least. The sad part is, is that this does not in anyway make your claims ouf out dpsing others in the same class by 200+ unbelievable. There are some really bad dps out there.

You certainly are maxing out your DPS alright.

Even factoring in gear, that would not account due a 500+ DPS difference.

I remember running BisEX with OP, and... both tanks lost hate on the snakes. Consistently.
So DPS need to shape up, but not too awful much, I guess. Unless they're gonna be this neat DPS-tank hybrid too.

We really need the ability to see DPS/HPS/DR [Damage Resisted] values. I know that SE is worried that people will use it to bully other players, but there are ways that they can go about making it better.

Here is a good example, very similar to your story, but I was the healer, and my friend was a DRG. The other DPS was very rude to my friend about his DPS, so despite him being rude, we went and looked up info on Drg and now he's shredding things.

The issue was, he had no idea he wasn't doing his best, he thought he was, and I'm not playing DRG so I didn't have a clue to tell him, and aside from the other players negativity, the good news was my friend got better for it. (I'm not advocating rudeness, btw)

If SE just showed you a few numbers (even at the end of the dungeon) like - your DPS (High/Low/Avg) as well as your high score for the dungeon in question, and perhaps a global avg, and global high. That would communiate to the player how they are doing, are they in the top 10% of DRG on the Vault, or are they pulling in low scores.

Just a thought.

Funny, hes just pulling up logs but let me throw throw an objection in his way.

1, does he know the item level of my monk?

2, does he know I was being carried?

3, was I *dead* the whole fight?

4, looking at my other logs, seems just fine so he took that *one* log, from one clear to use as fire against me. which I laugh at him cause he had no idea the situation why that number was low, so sad.

Clearly my undergeared 191 item level ninja with its 190 weapon sure is gonna beat them 200item ninjas with their 205-210 weapons and pull that 1k dps end of the fight right?

But to be honest, for a 191 item level ninja with 190 weapon and dead at the end of the fight, 855 is pretty good.
