To all "high" level players on every server, we need to do something for the game

I'm not rich and my highest is 44 Thaumaturge but i'm willing to help.

Always willing to help newbs out :) i have been playing since collecters edition launch and have alot of experience i can share with new players.

The fundamental problem being that for this to work, the new players would need to know first to look here, and also would need to chance upon your forum thread.

I like the idea and all, but it will probably last a few days and die out.

Thats why Im in touch with premium Virtue from ffxivpads to make things more well known.

If everything works out another thread will pop up with even more detials, or this will get even more detailed.

Things have to start somewhere.

Agreed, and hopefully a mentor system would be made available ingame at some point, but as with FFXI's, new players:

a) Didn't know the mentor system existed
b) Didn't know what the mentor icon was, I personally thought it was like a medal
c) At one point, pretty much everyone had it enabled, and none were willing to help, they just liked it cause it looked important

Edit: Maybe we should also start a "New Player Advice from the Vets" thread as well. I'm sure that a lot of new players haven't quite realized that the first things they should do is get Bloodbath, Second Wind, Cure and Sacrifice to help with self healing. Things like that
