Here's hoping it DON'T add DPS checks, or it will get the same complaints as the current content.
I know in EQ, they had a team working on the next expansion before the previous expansion launched.
I don't want to swim badly, I want to swim amazingly! :P
Can't beat a wet.......cat :P
But on topic, tis the norm that MMO devs have a general roadmap for 2-3 expansions in the future. With changes of course based on gaming statistics taken from in game and player feedback (the constructive kind of course that fits into the system and their vision).
Not sure about swimming but I'd love to be able to build a boat and fishy the deep blue sea, weather storms and other such affairs. Other games have gone there but they always add the caveat that other players can roll up and steal it when ever they take a notion, killing the whole concept out of the gate.
Awwww shit if swimming is introduced could someone please make me some arm floats... I couldn't swim to save my life....
I'm pretty sure Yoshi announced sometime last year that they were intending to move to a expansion cycle of approximately 1 year. I don't remember the exact quote, but I think it was at Tokyo Game Show last August.
Funny, because in Pathfinder, tanks are some of the best swimmers out of all those that aren't aquatic by species.

Swim checks are made using STR score. What's right up there next to CON for most tanks? Right. STR.
Need that STR for wearing that armor anyways unless you're a dwarf in Stoneplate. Cheating bastards.
