BLMs certainly don't need any buffs. Some QoL changes to timers would be great, but mostly the baddies need to Git Gud. If they buff BLM , the mediocre players would be on par with other dps, but the really good ones would be OP.

I don't honestly care about the BLM / SMN argument. Play what you like. They should be equal, and with some minor adjustments to BLM timers, they'll be pretty balanced imo.

Just saying. I'm pretty sure with a Bard giving Foe and Dragoon + Selene. Black Mages can do at least 1.2k-1.3k in Alex T1. At best, I had to move sometimes for 1 second in most Alexander Story Mode. It's not Savage but it's a pretty good indication imho. Except Alex T2. There's not a chance I can beat a Summoner of equal skills because it's purely AoE DPS.

Leveling as BLM dungeons went noticeably faster at minimum level for the dungeon vs WAR in party without BLM or SMN, 20-30 minutes vs 25-40 minutes.

When I was rolling as a BLM for a little while I used to do fire 3>flare>transpose>wait 2 ticks>fire 3>fire 2>flare>transpose>repeat

Oh thank godness we can swiftcast once per minute. Truely that one swiftcast to kill one add when there are 10 of them that keep respawning one after the other make us the adds destroyer!
fun fact : BLM dont even bother attacking spirit gana because it is both a waste of mana and time. So much for being the adds destroyer

If only we had an instant cast spell for those weak little mobs. But it doesn't matter anyway, clearly there are swarms of small mobs every 10 seconds each boss fight that all other dps destroy by sneezing on, making BLM useless against adds.

Summoners should still come out on top on T1 because of the multidotting but it's still a great turn for both nonetheless. T2 & T3 probably goes to Summoner, that T3 add phase is a nightmare for Blackmages. And T4 seems mediocre for both.

If they die before you can complete a fire cast, then Scathe should be popping them dead. Otherwise the issue is you.

Not when flare crit drops an add to 10% health. Theres no better aoe there. T2 is a complete different story as adds live a long time.

Was talking about multidotting the two versions of the boss which is like 50% of the fight.
