Ye release was so bad cuz it absolutely exceeded their expectations so they gave us extended free time.

the servers are compleetly fine its the masses of people that try to log in at the same time that are the problem
I just picked up the game a little over a week ago. I was enjoying things and was going to strongly recommended my friends pick it up for at least a month. Then the expansion early access happened and I've barely been able to play since. Learning that this is entirely Square's incompetence with bad data centre management they knew was coming, I am not going to recommend this any more and I'm likely not going to get a sub. If the issue doesn't resolve itself soon I'm just going to uninstall and move on, I have better things to do than repeatedly run the game and hope I win the data centre access lottery. Well done, you got $15 from me without having to upgrade your infrastructure Square. Was it worth losing hundreds from several people willing to sub for months to a decent MMO?

Yes the couple hundred they lost is nothing compared to being over prepared for the task. It sucks, but the population boom will diminish. Adding another server or seven with EVERYTHING that requires, is many times over the cost of losing a sub that wasn't going to play more than a few weeks or month anyways.
This is nothing like WOW; where they blamed they were hacked for TWO weeks. They lost over 1/3 of their subs, and continue to do so because the game is old and stale, and the problems continue to this day.
FF14 is in patch mode, game access will be spotty; go outside or ... something.
For the love of The Twelve... how is this thread still going?

If you skimmed over it during initial installation...perhaps you should give it a read this time.
Worst kind of shill. Eula's aren't end all. Its called support and being good to your customers. You don't have to look at a contract and see whether you're obligated to do something good for your customers. Its also looks horridly bad, when so many others games with cheaper or no subscriptions give plenty of perks for down time. Do you work for Comcast? Sounds like you work for Comcast or something similar. Because that's the same logic they're built on, and everyone~ knows its a horrid company.
You've posted in the other forum sections too. Clearly you're not aware though that there are TONS of people with similar issues. This warrants support, at the very least. And mum has been the word. Stop defending something so obviously wrong.
