If you at least understand the mechanics going into the fight, you are ahead of the majority of people who like to just go in blind and derp.

Titan Ex has been my Achilles heel. So I watched the videos, I have studied the strats I have come very close to completing it. I can't get group to stay together long enough. We make progress, but people bail then other do not want to wait. I am often the last man standing now but I did have to turn performance stuff(graphics) down until I achieved well over 60 FPS because I would move before everyone, be farther out than everyone but I would get hit. This was very frustrating, because I have exceptional situational awareness.
Tell me more about the jumping and actions. Jump from inside and land outside the poop? Casting an instant spell as soon as I am out of the poop a good thing? The thing is I have no lag, I don't stutter, I run 40 FPS in Mor Dohna with max settings on everything. I hate having to turn stuff down just to try and get through Titan Ex(but I do). Titan Ex is only problem I have had in this game avoiding a mechanic. Titan Ex also has the worst behavior I have witnessed in game, people often bail after one failed try and no one wants to even wait to allow me explain things to new people, they just go.
People also frustrate me as well. Don't show up to this with 4k hp, you have to play too perfect and MP is too precious to raise you over and over. If you are person who struggles to learn mechanics this is one fight that you should watch the video a number of times. It is not fair to everyone else to wipe over and over because of you. I know certain people learn better from trying, I get that, but I call complete BS from the people saying there is no benefit to knowing what is going to happen in each stage by watching a few different groups do it via youtube. Knowing what is going to happen before it happens is the key to succeeding at these fights. When you are proactive rather than reactive is key.
TLDR If you are a monster player, fine go in blind. If you try it and ruin the experience of 7 other people go study and show up well above the minimum gear next time.
Elitist attitude at its finest. The irony here is that this game is very easy to play.
Also, might I enquire what you know of decency? You dont seem to know much about it.
It hasnt improved. Funny indeed. After coming to ARR from WoW I had to adjust quite a bit, the delay is that bad.
Are you sure you are not just measuring your personal experiences, or even hearsay? Because if the delay was 3 times as much as it is now, I'd personally have no window to get out of many aoe abilities at all.
Because as it is for some abilities the delay is a third or even half the actual casting time on the ability..
Its been acknowledged over the course of the game by Yoshida and been in patch notes, too lazy to look it up, I might be wrong on it being as much as 3 times as long, though. On launch the in built delay was 0.333 seconds which is a ridiculous amount, and made titan actually require you to know timings beforehand to dodge. After a fairly short amount of time they reduced that for Coil only, saying servers would be overloaded if they reduced it for everywhere else. Later they reduced it for dungeons outside of coil, and I believe we now have it reduced for overworld content as well. This is not based on my personal experience in the slightest.
Edit: Also a side note, a lot of people mistake the animation time vs cast time on whether they got hit by an AoE, since most games work differently than XIV on this. When the cast bar finishes, whether someone got hit or not is already decided, the animation time after the cast time has nothing to do with it. Not saying this is the case with you, just mentioning in case anyone reading this post didn't know.
The delays are bad, If I do not turn down my graphics to minimums, According to what I see, I am the first to move, I keep moving all the way to edge of the platform and I die out there. When I would ask other people, the would say it seemed like I moved late. I turned graphics way down and that changed, so I totally believe people who say they were out.
