Adding godrays to that zone would improve it dramatically from a visual presentation perspective, no doubt.

All those graphical additions would be wonderful things...that I would immediately turn off.

Main issue with the game is lack of content... why most people left and are complaining (events fall under this category)

2nd issue is UI issues and server optimization... 2nd most reason people are quitting the game is not optimized for pc at all

graphics... well most people consider this to be the best looking mmo to date, honestly I never heard of anyone leaving because of this.


Shadows and graphic updates would be great... but honestly those should be the last thing the devs touch atm. Fix the critical problem then work on the rest.

And SE has the XIV staff broken up into teams. Quest, Battle System, Events, User Interface, etc... Can't have a single team of 30-50+ people... simply too many people it would actually slow everyone down, and make the total updates come slower.

so this is basicaly a "they arent adding what i want so i think they should redirect resources away from what others want so im happy with something that isnt even content but a very minor asthetic thing"

Actually, if you go back and read the last paragraph of my original post, the intent was "if they are going to keep wasting time and effort on things like events, then while you're at it fix the graphics" i.e. both of these are unimportant, but if you must work on unimportant things, how about this.

tons of people like the events

this is a personal opinion that you want what you want in game, and to hell with what everyone else wants

graphic updates ARE NOT IMPORTANT as far as getting this game up to par now, you should more then know this

They are not important to me either. You miss the entire jest of the origin post. The idea here is "stop wasting time on stupid things"

I will say though you are right, to hell with what everyone else wants. I paid for this game. I want it to be fun for me.

you dont like events we get it, but that doesnt make them a waste
