FFXIV is not a game you watch on Twitch. I guess GTA V is less successful than Heroes of the Storm because it has less viewers on Twitch, Archeage and The Last of Us are also on same viewers - must mean they are also on the same level of popularity, RuneScape right now has more viewers than WoW, so obviously RuneScape is more successful, perfectly sound logic. I'm actually very excited for Heavensward, and like some have said I'm sure they will release more info as we come closer to the release date.

Where are those claiming 1.0 was better? Those who say XI was better took over now? Unfortunately guys some ppl will be upset no matter what they will change. Not everyone shares the same opinion. I liked all the things I saw till now. We have a big expansion with large areas, new lvls, new classes, some old frustrations, and some new cool things. And there are more things to come with the 3.X patches. They already confirmed they will expand the FC airship thing and the new patches will have more content than 2.X patches had.

On twitch it is easy : you just have to go to the game list and you immediatly see which games are popular.

People watch games they find to be interesting. If nobody watch FFXIV it must mean something, don't you think ?

Also FFXI peaked at 600 k subs in 2006.

For you. I have plenty of stuff left to do, and I likely won't finish everything I want to do before Heavensward.

Just because the ONLY thing you seem to be interested in is your weekly cap doesn't mean everyone is.

Seriously? They have plenty of time. The hype train has barely left the station.

Wait what? I have way more to do than just cap tomes.. I have my relics to do (SCH is on Zodiac part - WHM is on Novus part). Also have to get my crafters and gatherers to Lvl 50 plus other things. If capping is all that interest you, that's good for you but don't assume that everyone else does.

I actually disliked XI a lot but I don't assume everyone else does.

Actually it's not the only thing, there's just not much else to do once you've done the rest, which a good portion of the playerbase have done, which again, is why people only log on for tomes/other weekly stuff and then log off until Tuesday.

Don't agree with the assessment.

The larger, vaster zones, the implementation of exploration via airship alone makes for a new 'endgame' like experience for players. We haven't heard word of the new large scale raids, and historically, this game's predecessor did not expand the width of its endgame until a good deal after its first expansion was out.

So we've got more of the same, and some new things that are different, which is what I expect from an Expansion.
