I don't mind it much, but I have to admit that it gets annoying at times. English is my second language so certain texts are difficult for me to understand. I'm not even going to lie, I skip over pirate-speak text :( shakespearean English I can handle to an extent but pirate speak is no.
I shake my head at this complaint.
Compared to the most mundane of 1.0 basic NPC lines what you see there is almost contemporary twitteresque dialogue in comparison.
My native language isn't English and I can understand it just fine.
For some reason "anyroad" in place of "anyway" always kills me. So simple and stupid but I love it.
I wonder if they took it from somewhere else or some person at SE HQ actually sat there and said "hey why not change the 'way' to 'road'? I mean they're both technically bits of path, it's sure to get some lawlz!".
the phrase anyroad was the original anyway, since for back in that day what ever your choice was it was you on your road of dissections, any way became more popular because it didn't need to be related to the road of fate or any other type of metaphor and was more understood as well, basically anyway = anyroad just different means of saying it :D
its still pretty common, to the north of England and Scotland
