please don't do runs with your fc mates

Never ran into this issue and I've been playing since 2.0 launch. Wish I had played 1.0 with my friends but alas...

Are you ever rude to the healers? If not maybe you're unintentionally being rude. You could also be pulling too much mobs for them or you to handle. To me it sounds like there's more going on than just being in a premade. Course I could be wrong...

So OP...late night, We, myself and 2 other FC members Q'ed up for AK, one for the Zodiak Quest, 1 for Light farming (thats me on heals) and 1 for Tomes and Zodiak Quest. We had 1 first timer dragoon joined our group thru the DF system. We cleared in no time and it was fun. So, we should've done this?? We helped the Dragoon on his relic weapon quest out, we helped each other out and everyone had fun. We always do this, its very helpful to solo players for a tank and heals to Q as a team. What happened to you was just a very Rare thing. I feel sorry for you, but I wont stop Q'ing as a Heals and Tank team.

You know, I had sympathy for you right up until you revealed that one of your issues with a healer was because you kept pulling threat, and your excuse for pulling threat is that you do not yet have Quelling strikes. There is the obvious "get quelling strikes already", but more than just that one thing, you really ought to make sure that your own house is in order before you start complaining about how others are playing. I have a sneaking suspicion that you are a much bigger contribute to your own grouping issues than any one healer queuing with his\her friends.

Don't socialize with people on your server, please go with randoms you'll never see nor talk to for the former reason. Socializing? In a MMO? Pfft.

In party play, someone will die sooner or later. As for fault, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that someone died.

Healers, Tanks, and DPS all have their own roles and responsibilities to play that will keep them or someone else alive. This ranges from mechanics, to game play, to the fulfillment of roles. I view it as a responsibility, not an entitlement. Some view it as entitlement, of course.

Healers can choose to not heal, tanks can choose to not tank, and dps can spam impulse drive/blizzard 1/heavy shot/one-ilm punch/etc. alone. All this results in is a slower run, and I would believe no one wants that.

Personally, I'm of the philosophy of pushing people off the deep end. When I first partied with one of my friends, I did the whole "School is in session!" mode and proceeded to generate a ton of (legitimate) aggro. He got the messages, and improved his game. Now it's literally impossible for me to pull off him unless I'm spamming high aggro moves. That's my own friend philosophy: To improve another friend's game play to match your own.

All this. Plus, the fact that even running with FC mates, it doesn't change HOW I run the content.

My healing FC mates let me die as I'm not as high on their priority list (also, I'm back to maining Dragoon so my death ensures a win for the party). And I fully expect it that way.

I run every dungeon with my boyfriend, and I don't treat him any differently than anyone else. When he's tanking, he's my top priority to heal. When he's on bard, he's on the backburner. Obviously, I try to keep him alive too, but tank > me > other people, whether they're boyfriend or a friend or a random.
It's not a matter of "don't do it with your FC mates," it's a matter of "do what you're friggin supposed to be doing." If you're going to prioritize healing that black mage at 50% health over the tank at 20% just because the BLM is your buddy, you're a crap player.

it's low level roulette though lol. two attacks from a geared up dps and they'll take aggro. if the tank is new there's no way to not get aggro other than to basically never attack anything :/. especially in the really low dungeons where you don't have access to quelling strikes. i mean it's not like anything can really kill me in those dungeons, you can solo the final boss in normal manor now. it's just that they wouldn't heal me from taking aggro from a new tank(the tank told me they were in an fc and apologized for the healers behavior at the end of the run. this goes to the person that asked how i knew these people were in the same fc/friend's. i usually either ask, find out when they kick me for no reason, they say so themselves or are carrying on a conversaion they've been having before the dungeon starts) when the healer was getting heavy aggro from using regen wrong :l.

it probably is a bad case of bad luck for runs but i think it might also be a case of the people that bother to use the fourms has more sense than the people who don't bother to use the fourms lol.

the character limit can be really annoying :l. having to edit is stupid.
