I'm pretty sure there's going to be more jobs announced at a later date. It was stated that there was going to be numerous ones...or so I recall.

Hi Buzz Killington. :D I'm pretty sure EVERYONE was asking for the musketeer (now machinist because they're not doing the class>job deal now.)

I've been very much looking forward to the Au'Ra when they were suggested on the polls and infact that's what i voted for.

Astrologian is about the only part of this deal i didn't already hear was coming like... ages ago.

...they conducted a poll? o.O

Do people really want Viera in a game where the character models have had their butts reduced in size so they could fit into the armor better?

I believe he meant over the course of the FFXIV's lifespan in general, not just for this expansion.

We have;
BLM, Magic based DPS focused on single hit blasts.
SMN, Magic based DPS focused on DoTs and Pet damage.
BRD, Physical DPS that dabbles in support skills.

Now we have the Machinist, a second Physical Ranged DPS, but also with pets.

So we're going to have 1 of each type of DPS in both categories (Pet vs no Pet)

PLD/WAR/DRK
WHM/SCH/AST
NIN/DRG/MNK
BRD/MCH
SMN/BLM

Thats what our Job role list breakdowns is going to look like, and it looks fine. Had we gotten another magical DPS instead of Machinist, it'd put the BRD further into its currently unique position of ranged physical while bloating out the Magical DPS.
You could argue the NIN bloated the melee DPS, but it really doesn't since the NIN slots very neatly in between the DRG style and MNK style of DPS.

SO are soul stones a thing of the past now considering the 3 new classes have no base classes .....Will soul stones only be a legacy job thing ? I hope so lol itll make me fell special maining SCH in like a year 1/2 time
