That's real life.

When you play a SUB based game - you expect to be able to get everything via effort.
The ability for someone to pay money in order to get gil has always been frowned on - but yet people are now saying thats fine as it's their own real money and they are selling an item to a player ect
It's slightly better than RMT sure but... it's still paying for an advantage which I do not think SE was aiming for. I think the wristlets were tradable to allow you to give them to your partners - I don't think they actually thought on players selling them for crazy amount of gil...
I suppose things may level out though once people have purchased all the houses/expensive MB items that they require
Again, I wouldn't even care if this didn't affect me or other players than those doing it, but it does. For as long as housing is a limited content, people able to make gil through means that not everyone has access to (and trust me, for some people 20$ is a lot, and this process of gilmaking is just something they cannot afford) will have an edge to accessing that limited content (buying houses) and lock RL-poorer players out of it. This needs to be helped now, before all the Richie Rich players claim all the mansions with mains and alts to create a gardening empire.
*snipped, I don't like that I got so caught up in the moment that I wrote what I've removed here. I apologize, Adam*
Well, the fact that you can buy a house with gil sort of invalidates your entire ideal of "They are only getting these items at a much faster pace." I can no longer get that house anymore. They've literally consumed the opportunity by spending real money on gil, and there is no way to compete with this if you don't already have the gil other than also spending real money. Suddenly, the size of your wallet in real life can affect how quickly you can achieve goals inside of the game.
Yes! Exactly this.
