None I hope lol, unless they do it in the style they did with XI where it flows with the storyline and not just there for padding like FFIV(II).

I can't wait to find out why it is changing!!! :D
I just completed a quest in Wineport,it was "Moonstruck". After i completed it and went back, the NPC said that she walked to bloodshore, too see what the color the moon was.(It is a myth that the color of the moon makes the grapes grow better) She said that she saw three people in strange clothes with strange accents talking into a linkpearl saying "No one has detected us being here".
I don't know if that adds anything to the thread, but that's what i heard.
Every new added element in the game is lore related in some ways, so this moon event could really be related to the advent of materia system. In any case, Eorzea is now in continuos change and it seems finally 'live'... i love it.
Boy, I really hope that somethin' comes soon, because I need my story badassery fix!
This exact same scene popped into my head when I first noticed it, haha! it seems to be a common theme in FF games to have some kind of calamity/threat associated with non-terrestrial objects... Real world mythology often associates such phenomena (like comets and meteor showers) with important events like times of change, war, famine. "Bad omens", ya know..
Yeah it does seem to look like the smaller moon is in orbit around the larger one... or was? I also noticed that sometimes the larger moon appears to phase horizontally in relation to the horizon, and other times appears to be phasing vertically in relation to the horizon, which seems weird to me but I don't know enough about the physical mechanics of that kind of thing to say for sure. Do we need some astrophysicists up in hurr?
Looking in all my old screenshots, the small moon next to the moon was always white and not as big as it is now...so something is definitely going on.
That being said, man the sky is clear around town. You can actually see the dust band in whatever galaxy Eorzea is in.
