Well for us is our mother language, and we aren’t precisely a minority, by far the people that speak Spanish out number the ones than speak French, German and even Japanese, and that is not say by my, the stats can be found in the official ONU Page (http://www.un.org/en/databases/) and even in the Wikipedia:

German: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...icial_language

Considering the size of the Spanish market, the benefit it’s by far most extensive than the cost, even comparing it with the actual French and German :)
