Certain ones are actually soloable. A duo could get any of the rest. Good gear of course.

I've done loads of peisteskin maps too but never seen it drop. I don't mind I like rare stuff and I think there's too few of them in this game

Me and my friend are farming them just the two of us without any problems, except for chimera.

So much this. I got lucky and got a bluebird from a peisteskin map with FC runs, and I love collecting minions but that isn't the one I really wanted. I reeeeally wanted the tonberry. I ran boarskins every day for about a month after I got the bluebird and made enough money to just buy the tonberry for like 400k. I'm talking like 2 days later I did a boarskin map and it dropped out of the chest for me ^^


Made my money back at least lol. About a month and a half after that I got the opo-opo drop and another tonberry in the same week. But my RNG on rolls is garbage. Lucky I'm my static's only BRD! :p

Farming the Gil to buy them is so much easier, plus saving Gil can feel like "progress" instead of the RNG. Hint hint start saving.

After 240 maps, its pretty apparent why the bluebird is worth 2 million.

It is a fallacy of logic to think it is cheaper to farm it yourself. Even if you got it, your down 2 mil gil, because you could have sold it.

Opportunity cost of selling maps & time spent doing maps > spending money on it.
Just because you didn't buy the maps doesn't mean they don't have the same exact value. (minus tax)
Anyone with any basic understanding of economics and statistics will tell you to just buy it if you want it that bad.

Its simple gambling, some people win, most people lose.

Its people like you who play the lottery, instead of saving money... buying a home... feeding your kids...

It's a Legacy achievement, and enemies gave you only 10 - 50ish gil each... only beastmen too (mind, I only had 50k gil by the end of that; nowhere near the goal). Anyway as for peisteskin, I know the feeling. Kept clearing them through with no luck on a bluebird (500ish including friends' maps). Someone managed to get one, however, but was really nice and traded me it since he didn't want it (at the cost of me trading tonberry minion though, oddly).
