While I don't care one way or another since a 15 min dungeon a day is easily doable for me.
How is doing them all in 1 day any less helpful? Your still doing 7 dungeons. Doing them 1 a day is somehow more helpful than 7 back to back?

Because the system as it is is for those who can play every day, to ensure that there will be people keeping the queues alive, with this proposal even those who can play every day would just grind out everything in one day and defeats the purpose of the DR.
Even if Alex still won't be able to login during the week, others will.
If people are doing roulettes just for the bonus then the system is working as intended, the point is to lower the queue times while keeping you actively playing the game. Yes there are some that cannot login during the week, but it's evident that they are a minority, MMOs look like barren lands during the weekends.
If you played back before roulette, when reset was on Monday mornings, you would understand. Every Monday the servers were overloaded, lag was bad, dcs were common. No issue Tuesday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday were sometimes a little slow.
If you can only play on the weekends, then the daily roulette isn't aimed at you. It's aimed at the people who can play everyday, but might choose not to.
It's already in the challenge log. It doesn't require every day, but there's an entry in there for completing Roulette several times (5 IIRC). (You could do it that many times in a single day if you want, since the challenge isn't tied to whether you're also getting the daily bonus for it.)
Problem is the challenge log awards EXP, which is worth zero for a player at level cap.
Actually yes, as others have pointed out in this very thread. New players need dungeons all day every day, not just between 1pm and 5pm on Saturday which is when most people (myself included) would hammer out their weekly roulettes if they were allowed to do so. Instead, I help alleviate queue times every day because I want the bonus.

How many more times I need to say this? the roulette bonus being daily is NOT making people log in during the week to run them. People who can play on weekdays will do so, regardless of the bonus. And people who can't play on weekdays ALSO will not do so, regardless of the bonus.
It's a good arguement if you're talking about the reward of experience or Gil. I'm talking about myth and the challenge of doing each individual roulette (guild heist I no longer unless I am leveling something), and if you complete all 5 roulettes in one day, you get a bonus bunch of myth, which resets daily (complete or not).
The point of roulette is NOT to give you tomes/exp. It is to fill parties, and they give the "BONUS" as incentives to do so. And yet people in this thread is so focused on the BONUS that they don't give a damn about anything else.
Have you ever tried to queue for low level dungeons before roulette implemented? You can be sitting for hours trying to get a stone vigil or a copperbell mine etc. Newbies trying to advance in storyline, finishing up their hunting log, leveling off dungeon mobs, farming dungeon gears is what the roulette is for. NOT for you to spam over and over again to get your tomes.
And yes it is getting people to log on more during the weekdays, I am also the same.
