I dunno, I always do everything possible whatever level dungeon I'm playing, I don't see it as an excuse not to play to my best. If I can DPS, I will DPS, the returns will always be worth it as extra damage will always be worth it, imo.

Plus, and this is the main thing for me, not doing everything you can is what makes the dungeon boring - people complain about it being tedious, well it will be if you're just standing there chucking out the odd cure when you can be bothered :x

Also with regards to gear, no I wouldn't go so-far as to nit pick over gear, specifically for low-level dungeons (which seems to be the focus) where I don't think it's really possible to be 'over-geared' due to the way the level-sync works. I just want people to be mashing buttons when they could be mashing buttons instead of just standing there and not mashing buttons :)

Also, that fact is neither a reason nor an excuse for you to go AFK while other people do the work for you. If it is so long and boring that you can't tolerate it, then leave the duty and go do something more fun. Carry your fair share. If your going to play the game then play the game.

Didn't you just say that the duty is long and boring? If you were to DPS the mobs with the party (Yes you should be DPSing anyway, lazy) the duty would be over with much faster. Bio, Miasma, Ruin...take your pick. Doing nothing and going AFK regardless of your lame excuses, slows down the party and disrupts the game experience for those in it.

You are basically saying that neither your friends nor the party deserves your full attention. You know that right?

The reason you don't do that is the same reason you don't text and drive: it gets people killed. And even if it doesn't get people killed, it takes your concentration away from the task at hand which in turn hinders the party. You must at least make an attempt to be a team player even if you have a hard time doing it. At least then your not violating the games policy (I'll talk about that soon.)

SE first made this game without the ability to communicate in any chat other than party for this very reason. The only reason why SE allows it now is because too many of their subscribers are self-entitled children who steal their parents wallets to buy gil from RMTs because they are too lazy to make gil the mature way.

Anyone doing this in my party will get GMed. I will not give warning. I will just do it then vote kick. If the kick fails I will just leave and go do something productive that lazy slobs like you can't hinder.

You are healed, never on the verge of dieing, so healer's work is done. Wether you like it or not, they ARE doing their job. You can't force any healer to dps if they don't want to.

1) multitasking. Some people have it. Not hard to follow what's going on on screen while chatting on a chat which is on the same screen.

2) Nice attempt at trolling. "Your pet can solo heal so you afk, you must be a kid stealing parent's wallet to buy RMT's gils". Should I help you dig your hole ?

again, we are healing. Maybe you should ask SE to remove the pets who are so OP that they can solo heal. Or maybe, if it really bothered you, you could pull more packs, so that the pet can't solo heal, thus forcing the player to act ? maybe ?

There is a very big difference between gear choices and engaging /follow while walking away from the game. All I ask is that people keep the gamecontroler/keyboard in their hands and actually push buttons.

It was clear since the beginning of 2.0 that the summoner/healer and their pet were sharing the job. That's why pure healing potency is far from on par between WHM and SCH to begin with. Now if Selene or Eos is sufficient to heal, it's no different from a WHM spamming cure doing nothing else.

Lets break this down very simply.

1. Are you dieing?
No
2. Is the Healer healing or did he use the tools available to him to heal(aka summoning his pet)?
Yes
3. Did you finish the duty?
Yes

Then what really is the problem? Is it because he didn't DPS at your beck and call?

Also how do u know he is afk? What if he had you on follow and was manually healing with Eos? How would you know? Reporting or kicking him at that point is borderline harassment.

You have a control problem if you care that much about how other people play the game when they are playing it correctly.

What work did I ask others to do for me? Mind you my job icon is GREEN. My work is to HEAL. DPS icon is RED and I'm sure it's not my colour. They are supposed to do the DPS job. If I DPS it's a bonus. If they NEED me to DPS to clear the instance, they suck tbh. In a 4 man dungeon you have TANK-DPS-DPS-HEAL for a good reason. And some of these lowbie dungeons don't even need a healer. I've played Cutter's Cry as a WAR and some of the healers were so bad they died before half of the boss battle and I could 2-man the Chimera with another DPS.

BTW tanks can DPS too. Do you happen to ask them to off tank stance and deal more DPS to speed up the dungeon? Maybe make sure you do for equality sake. (It is do-able anyways with Sword Oath/no Defiance)
