I didn't say that the opposite won't occur. But reading OP, it seems like one of those "I will complain and expect you to do it right, but I won't tell you how to do it properly, but I'll keep complaning because you're still doing it wrong" kind of people. So yes, I'm discussing the thread's point. Specially being "blamed" or pointed at doing wrong moves for something he can't avoid (dying from the devour attack on lost city boss because the OTHER players didn't get him out of mob's belly). It's like if a healer would get transformed into a rock in Titan EX, and dpsers not taking the rock down to free the healer, and the tank would blame the healer for dying and not healing him.

But the best way to stop having people tell you how to play your class is to learn to play it well.

Perhaps your rotation did suck and now you will look at it.
If you are playing at 75% efficiency that just means that the rest of the group has to do 125% of the work they should.

And my solution to the thread's complaint is just to become educated in regards to your job such as reading your skill descriptions so other people don't have to "suggest" that you learn what your skills do in the middle of a dungeon at level 50. Yet some people seem to think that they shouldn't be expected to read that heavy thrust gives and a damage buff because "I DON'T HAVE TO MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS", which was a reply in this thread to this comment.


Not excusing rude behavior by other players, but people get 50 levels to learn how to play their job properly.

I'm positive that it doesn't "suck". And there is no reason to look at it.

"Why" you ask, very simple. It is literally the same rotation all top DRG's in high end raiding guilds use.

"How do you know that" you ask. Because I read my skills and know what they do. Its not hard to put it together when you read skills. I'm getting off topic now.

Regardless if someones rotation sucks, you have no right telling them that they shouldn't do that rotation. They pay for a sub just like you and before you counter argue this. Someone else already did and I already posted a response to that.

I also take the time to watch video on all my level 50 to learn how to play them so it's likely why people don't say I'm doing something wrong.


I was doing the level 44 dungeon with my wife and the BLM kept saying you can just turn your back. Mean while my wife was just walking through the gaze attack. But like 20 time in the 1st boss. You can just turn your back...

Turning your back means your not attacking.
Walking threw means you can get an extra attack in. 1 extra attack every gaze attack. So maybe people should just let people play.


Also there is a correct way and a bad way to give advice.
Correct way of giving advice.
Came across a low level mnk and he was all over the place. Like 2nd time in a dungeon as a mnk.
My wife said who has a level 50 mnk, I'm not sure if you know this Person X but some of mnk moves do like 20% more dmg from side or back. It says in the write up of the move if it's flank or back.
He said no I wasn't aware and then corrected for each move.

There are a lot of new players since PS4 release. This means there's a lot of people who aren't experienced with the classes and their skill sets; just trying to catch up as best they can. Because of this, more players are trying to help those they run into.

If you don't like their advice, that's fine. But it never hurts to look into what they're saying and judge for yourself how you feel about it. For the most part, I think people are trying to help. Unless they're being hateful towards you, no reason to be mad.

I've been getting a lot of tanks recently who will only use their mana rotation and refuse to touch flash/overpower or shield lob/tomahawk. If they don't listen to the advice I try to give them, I will just start pulling mobs because I'm going to be getting aggro anyways as the healer, or risking letting the tank die by waiting for the first mob to die before he moves on. If I'm in a really bad mood, I will just leave and take the 30 minute penalty, because I don't feel like enabling someone who refuses to do the minimum their role is expected to do.

I've seen many BLMs leveling up and not understanding how their ice and fire stacks work 'you can't make me use fire, it uses all my mana too fast', also. They are usually very thankful when I explain to them how to use their skills optimally. I've run into a few trying to use fire 3 to aoe because the animation looks like it's an aoe to them.

The only way to really know a drg's rotation without paying a lot of attention to them, since there is no cast bars, is to see what debuffs are on the boss and how frequently they're being refreshed. As long as the available ones are up for the majority of the time and you're not jumping off of boss platforms, no one should be complaining.

So... we should ask SE to make 3 diffrent servers?

1- Bad players (won't take any advice, not care a bit about others, just do whatever they want)
2- So-So Players (They are trying their best, still having fun, doing their rotation correctly, but the whole party wipes, then if it was obvious it was them at fault (we really need to point it out) listening and welcoming advice when stated better than "have you ever done any Coil runs?") <-- is that a prerequisite to play the game and have fun? lol
3- Elite Players (where they do everything to perfection, dodging, positioning, rotations) and where one little second of less DPS means a kick, where you would have just cleared the whole trial/dungeon anyway?

Even with 3 different lvl of the servers, they is still some shades of grey in between them.

The solution perhaps: Every group makes their own PF. If you joined even one which you are not used to see in your party, your 'senses' should tell you to expect the unexpected.

If you PUG, anything goes. You cleared the Duty while being imperfect, after a few wipes, only having 2 min left on the completion? Congratulations, it's perhaps how it's meant to be to play the game and having fun in the process.

^I get this all the time. Super annoying. I know when to lb. It's even worse when they say it and IT'S DEFINITELY NOT the right time to lb. I.e. Brayflox, to skip big bomb phase, people tell me to lb immediately(wrong time), you're suppose to start lb when his 'sprint' comes up.

True dat Kirsi.

We have pretty much 2 types of peeps in here, when in PUGs: those who never say anything at all (nice for MMOs ;) ) and those who, when they talk, is nothing but harsh comments about you should be playing your role, your character, how you should be having fun. (their way of fun, not yours.)

Now there is a hidden type here: those who plays MMOs for the community, enjoy a smooth run, trying their best with their abilities, the way they think it's ok, after 'mastering' their MAIN job. They will listen for any advice, and I encourage us to state it in other place than PUGs, that you are welcome to any advice to better yourself, if need be.

Even if 3 people master one job, there will be 1- the good 2 - the average 3- the bad.

Are they entitled to play the game and have FUN? OH I do certainly believe so.
