[Request] don't let us 'freely color our chocobos'

My personal desire is that chocobos are colored by their quality and abilities, I have posted my thoughts on this is a bunch of different threads, but I will be bummed if you can't tell my super awesome chocobo that I bred from someone else's who was able to just dye it.

How about the base coat can't be died, ever, but the feather tips are like hair color and cost 3k gil or something? Ohhhh my Monk in white glamor armor with Garuda claws and a White chocobo with red accents... omgawd.

Requesting how something would work would effect EVERYONE that plays, not just you. So requesting this is doing so on behalf of everyone. Duh.

Second, how is posting on a thread that was last posted on today necroing it? I think you're mistaken what that phrase means. Necroing a thread is when you post on a thread that was long since dead/over. You, however, made this thread YESTERDAY and it was posted on as recently as ten minutes before my post.

Sigh I was interested in this because of the deep chocobo breeding systems in the past.

Figures that we can't have ANY of that because this is ARR and you'd all rather just press one button than dvelve into deep mechanics that require more than half a brain cell :/

Honestly since when did streamlining equal to removing all content from a system? I have no hope left for the future of gaming when stuff like this happens.

I would like my blue Chocobo, I don't think it's a big deal if we can just freely dye our Chocobo certain colors & restrict gold/black/white for breeding.

... Well what if I want a pink chocobo?

Maximus will be the manliest pink chocobo there is!

I have read about food that you give your chocobo to eat.
Of course the devs would not use paints, which we use for the gears, to change the color of the chocobo.

I don't think color should affect stats, especially where each Chocobo has its own leveling system in the game. I like the idea of having a bunch of different-colored chocobos, instead of everyone in the Choco-Endgame having all of the same kind of chocobo.

Stats should not be equivalent to aesthetics. That's why many of us fought so hard for a glamour system in the first place.

Yes, stats should not be bounded to color. We said it already when they bounded extra stats for gears on the gears color once (You want extra str on your body? then it need to be red. you also want extra str on your pants? then the pants need to be blue).
But it would be good if not every color would be common, but also some rare colors and special colors which is harder to get (maybe a boss fight reward or peiste treasure map reward, or a "level up 3 chocobos to get all 3 bardings" achievement reward)

I can absolutely understand that kind of rarity-restriction on color. Certain colors, such as Black, White, Gold, Silver, and even special multicolorings (FFXIII-2's Raging Chocobo Coloring, for instance) should definitely be rarer, but should not affect stats whatsoever. Though I definitely believe that Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, Red, Purple, and other such colors should be available right away through a gil vendor or something.
