It makes no sense why people complain about jumping. Even if someone does it 20000 times a session does it really matter? Mind your own business and let people do what they want. Like seriously it doesn't affect you in anyway.

This is just a common theme in MMOs that traditionally have not had jumping. I've seen it in the Guild Wars community, FF Online and Ryzom. ALL those communities put their games in a bubble of perceived 'specialness' that just can't be 'ruined' by such basic features as jumping. Never mind that it's a standard now, never mind that the grand majority of players in general (not fan boys and girls) expect it, their games are too darned special and different to be lowered so.
Always they ask for limits IF such a thing were implemented, these are tiresome complaints that have very little value to the overall gameplay and enjoyment of the game. These are probably the same people who can't handle ugly characters as seen in Aion because it ruins their precious conceived opinion of what the game world should be like.
Makes me wonder why there are such sentiments of wanting to control how others want to play, this goes to every gamer who wants to complain about how casuals or hardcores ruin their games too, how incredibly self absorbed. Proof that people just can't play a game that's given to them and figure out how to amuse themselves with it, every thing has to be tailored to you, imo that's where the REAL laziness from gamers comes from. Use your noodle once in a while to challenge yourself....
And now getting off topic.
I'm actually all for there being actual differences between the different races. Perhaps if there were some actual benefits and drawbacks to the choices, we wouldn't have the legion of catgirls running around.
I started playing WoW about six months after its release, and playing off and on until Cataclysm, so I'm fairly familiar with the game. While the jumping isn't quite as bad as indicated, it is bad enough to be annoying at times. Dalaran was especially bad once they introduced the mammoth and sparkle pony mounts.
You know, I rather like the jump animations in WoW. But then, I actually find WoW's art style to be endearing; like a 3D stylized oil painting. And after spending three years playing FFXI, where a pebble can cause you a 45 minute detour, jumping was the single greatest thing that I'd ever been introduced to in the MMO genre.
Hate on my bunny hops, I can still do my job while spamming space bar. I played a Resto Druid -- jumping was practically part of my toolkit.
