These threads will continue to pop up because people are passionate about both the Limit Break system and the Final Fantasy franchise. The current implementation does neither much justice. BLM, MNK, WHM, War aren't the only ones that are really made to stand out.
Which is unfair to the rest of the jobs and future jobs to come.
I am willing to bet PS3 limitations .. :x
I agree though each job should have its own LB animation/skill, If it is to do with PS3 limitations they should at least give different animations for PS4 and PC users.
Is it me or has SE been extremely quit lately, back to the good old days or no news is good news ?
Honestly hearing the sound from the controller right now is about the only way to know a LB is even happening. It's kinda disappointing how limited the visuals of LBs are and also the effect of them sometimes is just a stronger attack without anything too drastic happening.
I wouldn't mind if it was given it's own few seconds of time to happen in a way that would be more spectacular. Like in the limit break trailer with a camera angle focusing on where the LB is coming from.

If anything its because of lack of time and duration of limit breaks. Due to being a team game with multiple players the duration of a LB animation is an issue compared to single player games. They probably just ran a lack of creativity on the matter faced with time and situational challenges.
Give Monk "Suplex" and I will start leveling it. I wanna suplex Titan or Demon Wall.
You do realise that animations have to be stored into memory so they are easily on hand when the game requires them, it's also a known fact that many of the animations from 1.0 were removed to give the game a smaller memory footprint (and I assume fit into PS3 memory).
So yes .. just yes, this how games work and the sad truth of it is PS3 will be holding this game back in many ways from now on.
