Needed at launch: Job Unique Limit Break Animations!!!

P.S. Well rumor from the recent Live letter is that each job will get a unique animation for their limit break in a future update sometime by 2.35. So I consider this a win!

    Thank you!!!

I can get that sometimes a limit break can be the same, but this is lazy. Why not stop giving us these dances and give us some unique limit break animations and effects. Why would a Dragoon and Monk use a FFVII Cloud sword to do a limit break. If you want us to use that animation, give us a two handed sword DPS class or job. An archer should get a flurry of arrows!

Sorry but this is something that should have been implemented at 2.1 at least 2.2, and I am not seeing it coming any time soon.

Seriously, with the long history of INCREDIBLE limit break animations for the wealth of Final Fantasy games (most notably the FFVII you cameoed into one Limit Break), this is supposed to be the ULTIMATE mmo limit break in the entire industry! You should be putting as much effort into these as you did the primal intro videos if not more.

Time to step up; this isn't 2010 any more.

P.S. Here are my Limit Break 3 ideas. Limit Break 2 and 1would be downgraded versions.

Warrior: "Undying Fury" Red rage aura
Marauder: "Blocking Blades" A whirling set of axes float around those effected in a parrying/blocking fashion.

Paladin: "Celestial Intervention" Energy Angle folding its wings around those effected
Gladiator: Fine as is except 3 shields for LB3, 2 shields for LB2 etc.

Monk:"Dim-Mak strike" The monks jumps up striking a pose as their hand energizes to the point where the energy encompasses the entire forearm and hand and makes an energy fist around it in a matching pose before plummeting into the target.

Pugilist: "Flurry of Blows" Many strikes hit the target (Think Tiffa's limit breaks!).

Dragoon: "Dragon's Fury" The dragoon jumps up and lands on the upper neck of dragon and instructs it to breath a laser-beam on the desired target.

Lancer: "Scurrying Fury" The lancer draws many lances impaling the target many times ending with a finishing high jump strike with a bright white light fire effect.

Bard: "Moogle's Fervor" A collection of moogles dance around the targeted area healing those there with the king appearing raising those fallen.

Archer: "Fighting in Shade" The archer fires a flurry of arrows but none of them leave the bow till the end like it was being viewed in slow motion. A host of arrows burst up into the sky making the targeted area vastly darker blocking all sky light/s before striking.

White Mage: "Celestial Revelation" The same angelic beings from the paladin limit break appear with their wings folded spinning and opening their wings reviving all in targeted area.

Conjurer: "Natures Fervor" An elemental matching the weather condition appears reviving and healing those in the targeted area.

Black Mage: "Darkness Beacons" An arcane symbol appears in the target area summoning many dark portals on those effected followed by a large ovioal portal in the center initiating a dark explosion bloating out the light for an instant.

Thaumaturge: Similar to as is, flury of many asteroids.

Summoner: "Dragon's Breath" Bahamut's head drops out of a portal breathing fire on the targeted area multiple times with the increasing size and intensity. First being a bright yellow/white flame, second being orange flame, and third being violet in color.

Scholar: "Fairies Favor" A fairy appears those fallen raising them with dust dropped on them.

Arcanist: Fine as is but with a portal similar to the Summoner's limit break.

    ______
    For fun

Ranger: "Chinchocolips!" A swarm of Chinchillas burst out of the ground and walls as well as fall form the sky covering the target area piling on each other sticking around after the effect long enough so that those defeated disappear making it appear that those defeated have been totally devoured leaving no trace. I do wish summoner for their own limit break animation that matches the egi they currently have summoned, would make a lot more sense

This is actually something I would really want to see implemented, just seems a shame to have the same animations spread over the jobs. Think it would add a bit more interest into each individual job. It would require a bit more work but hey, worth it in my opinion.

Animations are the least of the games worries. However, I do agree with you. Just feel this type of feature is on the backburner for now.

I agree, i am not really a fan of the Limit Breaks in this game. Really feels like a after thought and hardly put any time into it, i just find it annoying how when i use my LB i pull out a freaking sword yet im a lancer? How does that even make sense. Please SE actually put effort into the LB animations for classes cause some of them just doesn't make sense. I mean you don't need to change dmg or anything just change the animation.

Because that's actually not how the Limit Break system here is designed - a Limit Break is based on party role, not your own class/Job, hence the animations are shared. When a Limit Break goes off it's not just the person who used the Limit Break doing the effect - the whole party is 'lending their power' so to speak to accomplish it.

As for the Buster Sword animation in the DD Limit Break, that can easily be handwaved away by saying 'it's aetherial' and a manifestation of the character's will or something. Really, you're over-analyzing what is simply a little bit of fanservice, an easter egg. Nothing more.

This argument was debated to death back on the Beta forum (I still remember the big who-ha which broke out there when the 'Crystal's Call' trailer showed it for the first time) so I really don't think going on about it at this point is really going to solve anything.
