1.0 Reminiscing

Yea the zone is stunning. I just remember dying a lot when trying to get the exploration achievements in there lol.
Can't wait for the next update where they plan to introduce leve quests, mobs, and level progression.

1.0 did do some things much better, but there are also many things that arr does better. it is a give and take as some things have moved forwards and some things went backwards. i think at some point they stopped trying to keep the parts of 1.0 that people enjoyed and just threw it all out to distance themselves from it completely.

All I miss is the animation quality.

I miss...

• the fluid animation

• the music

• the music looping instead of 90% silence in the field

• having a Linkshell that played together

• having a server community that pulled together

• partying with random people who you could actually become friends with

• having wide open spaces and wilderness instead of camps every 30 seconds

• having danger in the open world

• the absolutely epic story line. I know it was epic because the world was ending, but it was grand! The elation at beating Van Darnus, and the despair when Dalamud hit. Great memories. ^^

Yes!

When I got into Ruins of Amdapor for the first time, I LOVED the music, and was sad that it wouldn't continue thinking it was another "intro" song like in the earlier dungeons. I was pleasantly surprised it kept going and looped. Please SE, keep doing that because it sets the mood so much better than hearing "The Promise of Plunder" over and over.

Haha, in late Praetorium, I couldn't help but almost rage at how "Rise of the White Raven" was stripped of the lyrics. And then I thought, "HAAAA, Darnus is better!"

Another thing I suddenly remembered : HATING chocobo caravans. I loved the concept, but then at one point I just went haywire. Especially when it was the best way to get seals. And theeeen Atomos...

I miss the AOE toggle button and the guild marks.

Caravans royally screwed me over.... I farmed the CRAP out of it when it was new. Then they came out with the achievements that were NOT retroactive... I could of had the chocobo mask 2 times and the shield.

At least Atomos gave me my shield..
