IMO Piety isn't wasted on Sch. It's not something to focus on, but more Pie = more adlo = better Sch. But again like almost everyone else has stated, it's not as important as Mind, Crit, and Det.

1. SoS, Aetherflow, Energy Drain management are key to 'good' & 'high-level' play. Being dependant on BRD is a failing on the healer's part. If you need to rely on BRD and other players pumping out enough DPS to end the fight before you run dry, you're doing it wrong. Piety alleviates an issues 'SOME PLAYERS HAVE'. "I've never run out of mana as a WHM" - Said no one ever.
2. Twitania Phase 2 Death Sentence debuff cannot be dispelled and puts tank dangerously low following if unprepared. WHM has no % cure (Except Benediction) that works through debuff. SCH Lustrate heals 25%. %hp Cure is an issue for WHM.
3. You're not wrong! However, SCH has an easier time managing their own enmity through split healing with Eos. In my original post, I said the remedy was 'play better'. Read my post properly before you call me out.
4. Good thing this is a legitimate and relevant thread about secondary stats, thanks for copy-pasting generic 'boring thread' response.
5. Yes, yes they can. However, novice SCH may have issues with it. Uncoordinated groups spread out will miss Whispering Dawns and Succors.
You obviously don't play WHM/SCH enough.
Technically you can time a cure to hit after the damage but before the debuff effect kicks in (Divine Seal + Cure II is particularly potent here). You can also apply regen before the debuff.
And in emergencies, there's always Stoneskin (albeit 18% to Lustrate's 25%)...
:)
Stats : WHM MND>DET>VIT for PVE PvP MND>SS While running esuna is v handy
Same for SCH PVE PvP go with PVE build
As a WHM I V rarely run out of MP, unless I have to raise quite a few people, but even then. I will Divine Seal Regen main damage takers, Virus and E4E them then pop SoS if I am immensely low, but tbh you should be popping SoS when its up unless you know you have huge heals coming up.
Weapon Damage > MND, after that the differences are pretty small, so get those 2 as high as you can and then you can concern yourself with secondary stats. Personally the majority of my gear has SS on it for the (slightly) faster casting/GCD time but good cases can be made for other stats.
Determination is certainly the most reliable, crit while not useless is a bit too random and we don't have any abilities that are directly affected by it like SCH's Adloquium or BRD's River of Blood.
Once you're full i90 you shouldn't need bonus points in VIT for any content. If you need the extra HP (for example if you're doing 3 stack fireballs on Twintania), then using melded accessories is technically better since you're swapping 3 MND for 8 VIT on each accessory rather than a straight 1 for 1 using bonus points.
Aye, Focus Target and pre-curing is how I handle it, when we had 2x WHM one evening it was a rush sometimes trying to catch up if we mistimed it.
1 Stoneskins, 1 Pre-cures!
If healers do mistime it, SCH % healing is there to save the day.
Rather than frantic mana consuming DS+Cure II's.
While Crit is cool on SCH, its wasted unless you have the MND or DET to make up for it when it doesnt proc.
Anywho, done with this thread.
As a SCH main, I have everything BiS for SCH. Both of my healers are i90, however the WHM has all of the crit accessories. I personally love the crit on my WHM. It saves a TON of MP. 3k Cure II crits? Yes please! Saved so many lives, and one less Cure to cast to top someone off. I also solo healed Ultima a few times. I can guarantee if I didn't have as much crit as I do, the party would've been toast. It always seemed to crit when I needed it most.
I have...
Assuming the same mind, and using your Allagan weapon outside of a party and with no buffs:
Determination takes the better average for white mage, but only by less than a quarter of a percentage. Average heals for Crit build: 1105, Average heals for Det build: 1107
Numbers: 501 mind
Critical in Crit Build: 450
Det in Crit Build: 227
Critical in Det Build: 356
Det in Det build: 315
Highest I could get my spell speed to was 507, bringing my recast time to 2.34.
