Gutted about the lacklustre quality of the PS4 beta

Much runs smoother and looks better on my £350 PS4 than it does on my £450 laptop [nVidia 635M] - same screen. But I can imagine if you've got a top of the range PC, PS4 wouldn't be as good...

UI scales fully though? In the HUD layout, click the right stick to switch scale.

I still don't get ppls issues with this. I'm running a 40" LG TV in 1080p and have the UI elements scaled to 60 or 80% depending. The 12pt font size (standard scale) of the chatlog means a capital 'A' is 5mm tall on-screen, which I can read without my glasses (which by rights I should need to see small things far away) from 6-8ft away on my sofa.

Found the issue. Why are you even comparing the two? PC quality is dependent on PC build where as a PS4 is just a PS4. Honestly I think people are making mountains out of mole hills when it comes to the PS4 quality. It's not that bad.

The issue with the PS4 version is that it doesn't run at a solid 60 FPS. FPS can drop very easily just by rotating your camera inside a city (and I hope, but unfortunately don't expect, this to be improved). So yeah, a good PC will run the game better than the PS4 at 1080p and 60 FPS. Though people with low end PCs are claiming that they run the game at 1080p and 60 FPS, which leads me to conclude that they don't know what a low end PC actually is.

Compared to the PS3 version though, the game runs like a dream and I wish I could be playing on it on the real servers already.

The game looks and runs better on PS4 than my PC. Considering the PS4 is $399 and a high end pc to get the most out of it is close to $1000 I'd say it looks pretty damn good for that option. No $399 pc is gonna look as good as the PS4 version. Its a nice upgrade from the PS3 version as well.

I play on PS3, and I have the PC version that I was using for Coil silences on my PLD back before I stopped being a whiner. I have a 2 yr old lap top just from best buy out of the box or whatever, and that version just looked slightly better than my PS3! Lol.

I'm not buying a PS4 until the actual release date, but I went to my buddy's house to see his PS4 version and it is freakin' amazing compared to the 2 versions I have. If there were even ONE other game I wanted to play on PS4 right now I would go out and buy one today, lol.

I find no issues with it. Runs smooth for a beta and the graphics were a big improvement over the PS3. The biggest complaint I've heard so far has been overall mouse support. Which is more of a Sony issue than SE.

As others have stated, OP you are pretty vague. You also might wanna read this recent dualshockers article for more info on the subject. Its original source from a 4gamer interview.

Erm, I can't imagine this is true in any way at all.

I have been playing the PS3 verion for about 4 months, give or take. I jumped on PS4 Beta and was amazed to see things I didn't know existed. I haven't gotten out of La Noscea yet, but the backgrounds and distance you can see are amazing. I kind of noticed Crystal Tower before on PS3, but it actually stood out on PS4. It caused me to really look at the landscape, which I hadn't done before. It is absolutely amazing. I went back to my PS3 and noticed that the same structures were there, but barely noticeable.

It should be true if your PC hardware is equivalent or lower performance than a PS4. It is false if your PC hardware specs are higher than PS4 specs.

PS4 has less background tasks and has access to lower level API so it should perform better on equivalent hardware.

PC version performance is depended on your PC specs.

I can't imagine why anyone would own a console newer then the PS2. PC > PS2 > everything else.
