A better guild crest system would be nice

I had something similar when i created an LS. I carefully looked through the LS Crests and found one i really liked. Then, the second i created the LS with that particular crest, someone walks past me with the same LS crest. I couldn't stop laughing. (^_^ )

Well it's kind of rare I see someone with the same LS crest as mine except for a fellow member. But right now my LS is in the middle of trying to decide what new crest to pick out to be more original.

Hopefully they do not overlook the importance of a good color scheme, rather than the bland, primary colors eyesore we have to contend with currently.

I would appreciate a custom LS crest option instead of pre-defined settings/colors.

Ragnarok Online did it rather successfully.

In FFXI, we could choose our LS color by using sliders, rather than selecting from a list of pre-set color combinations. I think it would be absolutely awesome if FFXIV did the same thing.

I even used Photoshop to create a mockup image of what the color selection GUI could possibly look like:

Also, give them my apologies that all the text in the image is in English. I don't know Japanese (very well), so it might be kind of difficult for a Japanese person to understand what each part of the image means.

(Though if someone is willing to translate the text into Japanese for me, I could create another version of the image with Japanese text.)

We don't need "expanding the variations." This is 2011, not 2002. We need an actual, competent system that isn't three generations behind newer MMORPGs. In Aion you can create and upload your own 256x256 emblem. I see little reason why we can't do that here.

LOL watch whole LS get banned for using that kind of crest.

I doubt the whole LS would get banned. GMs would probably have to approve the pic before allowing them to have it as their crest, and if it's inappropriate the GM would just deny it and the LS would have to submit a new pic. That's what I would see happening.

Although it'd be funny to see a thread on here saying "ZOMG my whole LS just got banned ; ;" lol
