Change the tin drum sound of when you select an action from the action bar

Agreed, for once. When you're mashing them manual attack buttons that sound is horribly obnoxious.

Give me something subtle.

I thought for a moment this was maybe a sarcastic jab at how some feel everyone is nitpicking and unnecessarily complaining about things.

But, dammit, this sound truly is horrible! And it seems that those of us with any sort of music background recognize it.

I would much prefer this! I'd take classic, in a pinch, but I think this actually fits the FFXIV style a little better. It's light and pleasant, and not like the dull thud we get now.

Heh, well I think a lot of what is going on right now is understandable frustration. I'm frustrated by a lot of it too, but I think the dev team is swamped so I don't see the point in contributing to half the stuff that is going on. This should be a quick fix though!

There is always adding a toggle for it in the options menu someday. Along with the volume slider for ambient sounds....

I must really not be hearing what's bothering everyone about it.
Now if it where the sound of a screaming spoiled child, that would bug me.

Yeah, it's really more of a ping. But it still sounds soft to me.

I completely agree ! I hope more people will support this. The current sound is terrible.
And FFXII confirmation sound is much better - in the vid. I think this would fit more to FFXIV than the current drum. And when I am talking about FFXII, I can say that battle system is much more playable than XIV.

Yah they deleted my post lol cuse its against rulez to edit files. They didn't email me a warning tho, ah well. I'm sure you saw it XD. Yeh I just took her account because she was a lot further in than me. She got a lil frustrated with the game on release.
