I am the same, I don't adopt a forum make believe persona. I am what I am, and anyone has an issue with it, either be prepared for verbal combat, or just go back to your hovel and shrivel up.

I kinda see some of you guys points, but I am not the kind of person to just act like a complete a%%hole. But even in RL I am a very private person. I don't even like people knowing if I am sick or going to the dentist or if I am in an unpleasant mood. Its none of their business.
So I don't have a good idea for a compromise to keep people from not acting like a buch of a%%holes, yet still retain anonymity. I still do feel this is not the answer, not to mention the fact that I can bypass the issue (however annoying creating a second char was). Why not have the mods just step up their roles, decrease their tolerances, and start whipping out that ban-hammer like they were kraken club dark knights?
*Update: As much as I disagree with this whole concept, It's a non-issue as I have just created my new "fake" character. You'll all just have to wait until after the Maint. on the 28th for the big reveal!!!!!! 0.o
So the opposite of "We are currently being mildly moderated on the internet and such" is the oppressive ways of North Korea?
No. They have the right idea, but have taken it to far too much of an extreme. Their people in general are fine, but they have more internet crime etc than any other country in the world, so they need to remain in check. Same as chinese goldfarmers, the rest of their country are deeply shamed by their behaviours, and resent them as much as the rest of us do. It won't be long before we see the far eastern countries currently under very strict internet laws get removed from the online world altogether. They will eventually have their own internal country based internet, as the rest of the world is getting sick of them.
And I am not just talking about their gold farming, the rest of the world at large don't even know that happens, I am talking about credit card fraud, email scams, ebay scams, targetted pyramid schemes and bank account theft. Most of it originates in China.
Well we would still have the issue of the people have multi-accounts that just jump from one to another when one gets banned. And the issue that still anyone could sign up for the forum at any time. But I also understand your feeling that you need the privacy... unfortunately people acting up in the forums brought it to this.
I'll give you a hint^.~

I am who I am, and my words are my words. I don't have a character-tracker signature because I haven't played in five months and don't see the point in advertising a character I am likely to delete because I intend to start over and get the full experience when the game is "complete." Besides, it's not like having multiple 50s makes my opinions any more valid.
I disagree with the ideas, not the person. You're the one who says he's gone through my entire posting history to find fault with the things I've said. I think the problem here is you, not me.
And so far, you're making my point for me. We disagree, you threaten violence.
And so, I'm putting you on my ignore list. [Removed by Moderator according to the FINAL FANTASY XIV FORUM Guidelines.]
Did I read that forum update post that we HAVE to display character data? LOLNOTHANKS. Glad my current main isn't on this account.
Guess I'll go roll a Lalafell named "Female Roegadyns" or something... lol
