Tanks Who Constantly Queue and Then Withdraw Trying to Get in Progress Instances

It's also completely my right to harass 23 players just because I can play how I want, amirite? There are others with limited game time as well, it's not just you. Withdraws waste their time.

This is a perfect solution, IMO.

I agree that it's annoying and I Main a PLD and dealing with that stuff can be frustrating.

But the most I ever had to deal with was maybe a five minute queue and a few of those before it finally goes in. Also, 3 day ban is incredibly excessive and I think you're honestly talking out of passion instead of reason, OP. I do like 2 free withdraws and the third one locks you out for a half hour. Another alternative is put another queue for those who check that box and have them stay in there until a group is made. They'll get a longer queue and have to wait for something to open up honestly.

And to those who say "I don't have time to play, I want to get what I can and I should be allowed to do this"...That is probably the most selfish answer I could read. If you don't have a time to do a run...DON'T DO A RUN. Concept? Yep. Mind Blowing.

I've jokingly said before that after repeated withdrawals, they should dump you into a dungeon with 23 AI characters that do nothing but run in circles emoting, but at the very least, dumping you into an empty, unjoinable dungeon AND making you eat the penalty if you leave it could be good...

The difference is, I can be waiting doing other things: quests, level an alt, gathering etc knowing that when the DF pops I am going into CT.

When some inconsiderate idiot repeatedly withdraws, I cannot do those things as I can't be sure whether I can safely ignore the DF pop.

You are inconveniencing 23 other people for your own convenience. We cannot stop you being a dick. But, no matter how much you try justify it to yourself, you can no longer claim that you are a good player, you know that you are jerking around 23 other people so you can get your 1/3 progress run.

Take a look at the reactions on this forum, how many are on your side? Still think you're in the right?

are you dense? my withdraws do not waste their time. IF i do not queue at all YOU Would STILL BE WAITING for a tank queue. do you not understand that. the only thing my withdraws do its make you excited for a pop up.... Thats it.

you can still do those things.... like i said before to someone else. Feel free to have the "need" to click the commence button the SECOND it pops or be smart and wait 10 seconds before you click. anyone withdrawing is gonna do it instantly... so you can still go on about your way till you see the queue pop stick..

Except, as I said before, you're not fully correct. Just by virtue of doing what you're doing, you can easily make the lead group miss out on a tank that doesn't mind a full group, just to satisfy your need. Things like this, and the reverse as well, are why other popular mmos don't tell you what the progress is.

Also, many of them don't do it instantly. I'd say there's a 10 second gap on average.

It's been said multiple times that it does affect others' play time. If you have a problem with the assertion, refute it, don't just ignore it because it's inconvenient to your attempt to maintain your self image.
