Doing Satasha for 40 levels isn't making people any better than Fate grinding. I had to actively not use Roulette to start learning to play my classes.

What a mechanics The last fight determines the amount of HP and other things? LOL. How about adjusting the fight itself? If there are 2 dozen of people around the FATE area, make it harder. If there are only 3 peeps fighting, make it easier. But I bet this would cause "too much load on the server" which seems to be the knockout argument for a lot of things that would make sense.
Did someone really just compare FATE's to Coil? I mean really, exaggerating much?
This thread has so much hysteria in it, some of you guys are trying to suggest you can't do FATE's now but that's absurd. I'll admit you can't always turn up and get an insta invite now but I've had several FATE session since 2.1 and seen plenty of shouts.
As for Cancer, I did it with a party of 8 only a few days ago and it seemed about as hard as it ever was, if anything it was easier.
I love the new fate system, All the fates I've been doing have been nicely scaled. Well waiting on DF.
Oh look, typical "you want it easy" comments... why do people have to be so negative on these boards?
A FATE's difficulty will now be determined by the number of players who participated in the previous
Please read this again and tell me why you think it's a good change?
30 people finish a fate
fate respawns
10 people show up and get absolutely slaughtered....
where's the logic?
if anything, fates should scale on the spot and become harder if there's heaps of people doing it.. not scale it AFTER it's already been done, that's just silly.
I am lvling a monk, Are fates lowered exp? I enjoy both dungeons and fates.
No the exp reward is the same as far as I can tell, the only noticable difference is, well you know those FATE's where stuff dies stupid easy, like the buffalo stampede FATE at Costa Del Sol? Well you have to hit those a few more times, Like where before if you could one shot them on BLM, now it might take 3 spells.
The situation offered in his thread (30 people do a fate, then you get owned next time it pops because only 10 people do it) will happen on such a rare basis that I'm not surprised that the developers didn't worry about it. We've all done plenty of FATE grinding so ask yourself a question, how many times have 20 people stopped leveling and left a zone in the space of 15-20 minutes? In reality people trickle in and people trickle out, for the most part making FATE's about the same as they used to be, except for the really easy ones which seem a little bit tougher now.
