Well it's not news that some people can't tell the difference between a game and the real life; you know, those who think MMORPG characters must be personal representations of the player.
I wonder what the OP has got to say about people who play several characters each with a different race. Schizophreniacs, perhaps? :3
Wait! I figured it out!
One day you were playing. Then you see her. A beautiful Miqo'te with the most stunning eyes. They pierce through you and set your body ablaze like a {Dragonfire Dive}. You greet her she greets you. You often find yourself thinking about her and her cute ways. She joins up with you time and time again. At first you try to ignore it but her charm stuns you and {Sweep}s you off your feet. You get to know her a bit and you tell her some deep thoughts. Your hopes and ambitions. Then under the starry skies of a Gridania evening you confess your love. You're shy and hesitant. You want to get to know her on a more intimate level. Then it hit you when she spoke...
"Dude. I'm a guy. The hell man?"
Your heart lies in pieces. You struggle to get up. Nothing could {Resurrect} you from this painful blow. Your hands sweat and you ball up your fists. An idea spawns upon you.
"I must post! This injustice must not be suffered upon my fellow men!"
...and we're here.
Dude, I'm a man bro. Call me whatever you want I've never lied about it.
I refuse to get butthurt over any arbitrary label a stranger would give me.
Sounds about right. Back in 1.0 I had a weird exchange with a lsmate that was absolutely taken aback that I was a man (played femqote at the time, didn't 'act' like a woman though) the guy got so upset saying stuff like 'well, you must like to dress up in your mom's clothes then!'
Talk about uncomfortable. Made me think about what kind of crap real women put up with in games when every other dope thinks that a female char = possible romantic interest.
I'm a man and my character is a female. I'm confident enough in who I am to do what I feel like in a video game. If playing a female character scares you for whatever reason you don't have to do it.
If they aren't projecting themselves onto their character, then they aren't really a drag queen or whatever else you may want to call them. Aside from that, why do you want to put a label on people?
